"We had a great time at the cabin, which was actually built by my grandfather. It served as a family gathering place for decades until a family dispute required us to sell it. I miss the cabin my grandfather named Le’Arpent, a Cajun term for “about an acre”. The house is quaint, calm, and has a nice view of and access to the lake. We loved the kayaks!"

We were at the park most of the time and hanging out with friends at another location so it was perfect for what we were needing. "

Main rooms and 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor with a huge basement with a further 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette. "We loved the location out of town for the Lake House (although it’s a very winding road after 2 days on the road) Our Golden Doodle felt right at home with front & back doggy doors, too! The diversity of areas to sit and chat or watch tv were great. We enjoyed the fire pit on our second night. We would love to go back and stay longer to more enjoy the area. "

Had some power flickers, guessing this is because of utilities work in the area, vut wasn't sure. Power never stayed completely off, was onlh off for a couple seconds each time. "Overall it was a good trip. The location was a little further out from town than we liked. 15 minutes to a DG and 25-30 minutes to fast food. We were running a lot for our stay, so this made it a little inconvenient. The marina restaurant was closed for the season. If you were staying at the lake and cooking, it would work better.
