Downtown Rockaway Beach is a short stroll away, where you'll find several casual dining options, a few antique shops, and fun gift and sweet shops to explore. When you're not strolling on the beach, boogie boarding, or riding bikes around the neighborhood, you can take a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad or drive 10 minutes south to the fishing village of Garibaldi, where you can pick up some fresh local seafood at the marina.

Excellent spot on the beach!

Comfortable, Clean, and walking distance to shopping and eating. Close to store with adequate items. Great little spots to eat and shop. The beach was right out the back door of the house. We would stay again.

Perfect House

Absolutely love this house. Comfortable, clean, super fun. The kids loved hanging out in the basement while the adults sat and watched the ocean from the livingroom windows. The beach is clean and not over crowded. We pumped up the bike tires and took them for a nice ride and played cards at the big dining table. It was just lovely. It was the highlight of our 2 week long oregon coast trip.

A beautiful spot

We enjoyed our stay and loved the location. The house was charming. We were a bit disappointed that the fireplace wasn’t in commission after seeing pictures of wood in the listing. I’d recommend taking that picture off.

Cozy and Pristine

This property is situated beautifully just steps from the beach. Views from the large living room windows are jaw-dropping. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to 101. Walkable to shops and grocery. The rooms are cozy and quaint, with everything you'd need and nothing you don't. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

Perfection

The property was immaculate and exceeded expectations. It rained while we were there but the house is right on the beach so whenever the sun peaked out we were 30 seconds from enjoying it. Views don’t get better, the basement was awesome for the kiddos with a bunch of games, nicely stocked with basics, and very clean. We had Wi-Fi issues during our stay (a fried router) but the local team was extremely attentive and worked hard to get it resolved for us.

We liked it

Great location and lovely view. Furniture, gear and rooms were very good. 1) Living room smelled like mildew, mild but almost continuously. 2) Heat was VERY SLOW and weak . . . so even 4 hours after we'd arrived, the living room was only 66 degrees. That was frustrating. 3) Be cautious with the lowest entry steps, they're irregular.

This home was beautiful and perfect for our girls trip. Very clean, with access to the beach a few steps away from the back door. Beautifully appointed as well. A very beachy beach home! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view

This was a cozy place to stay. It would be better if there were 2 bathrooms, but we made it work. The beach is beautiful and the big picture windows are amazing.

Family vacay

The house has a slightly unique setup (weird hallway door that blocks the second bedroom when open), but we made it work. It was also quite hot with no ac or central air (it was high 60's for ourstay and we were sweating at night even with all windows open). The location was amazing and the fully stocked basement was awesome! We enjoyed the ax throwing game.

PERFECT LOCATION

The property was set in the most perfect location. Beautiful views from large windows of the house. Weather was amazing so sitting outside in the furniture provided was absolutely lovely. There were a few minor things that would have made this stay better. There is only one bathroom so for guests travelling with 4 or more adults this is a challenge. The Sunsets are AMAZING, but the few hours leading up to it are brutal if you want to hang out in the living or kitchen areas. There are no shades to pull and the sun beams right through the large windows. Overall I found this location to be wonderful and if I were travelling in a smaller group I would definitely rent this place out again

This is an excellent location on Rockaway Beach. The house itself is older, but clean and well kept. The beach was beautiful and endlessly walkable. Great couple of days on the coast.

Wonderful location!

We spent Thanksgiving week at this charming cottage on the sea! We just loved it's coziness and fantastic view. We were hoping to use the bicycles in the garage but they were in various states of disrepair. We managed just fine without them.e We also were under the impression from photos on the listing that there would be a working fireplace ( given photos of firewood and fireplace)....again we made due with fires on the beach. But perhaps removing or updating those particular images would be clearer to future guests! Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.!

Adorable house with great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beach house. An adorable older home but has been updated with very good taste and quality appliances and upgrades. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the essentials but you will need to bring any food staples as this kitchen only had salt and pepper available. Unfortunately when we arrived there was quite a bit of sand on the floor and in my bed. So I’m guessing they didn’t change the sheets. I addressed this with the property manager and they offered to have housekeeping stop by but we declined. We just swept the floor and changed the sheets. Not the best way to start our vacation but the rest of our trip was amazing. The location of the house is in a quiet area and such a beautiful view of Twin rocks. We would love to come back to this rental.

Beautiful Stay on the Beach

We've been visiting Rockaway Beach for the last several years and this is by far our favorite house. The beach is literally steps away from the back door and in a perfect location. It was very clean and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. We cooked at home just about every night that we were there and always had what we needed. The appliances are top notch including the dishwasher. There are two complaints that I do have about this house though. It would nice if there were blinds on the windows facing the beach. It gets incredibly bright around dinner time and it would be nice to be able to pull the blinds down just during dinner. Also there are no blinds in one of the upstairs bedrooms which made it uncomfortable for my daughter at night as the window is looking over the street and other houses. The other thing is there is only one bathroom. With a full house that gets hectic but we made it work.

retro beach getaway

Quaint beach home with oceanfront picture windows in a large great room that has just enough room outside and in to get a little quiet space if needed. Nice back lawn for kids to run around and play in when you are not taking a short walk to the beach. If your group is game enough to share just one bathroom, go for it.

What a gem!

My husband and I stayed in the off season after an out of state conference was changed from in person to virtual (and I still needed a getaway). It was the perfect haven to sit on the couch, drink coffee, watch the waves and Zoom all day. The house is just as pictured and so lovely and comfortable. My husband snored so I slept upstairs in the darling A-frame rooms that are just perfect for kids (I opened the windows and fell asleep to the waves). Lovely beachfront, we took a long walk every evening. I wanted to move in permanently! There was a small issue with the lock box but it was resolved immediately. Highly recommend!
