There's nothing better than being at peace next to a serene, still, lake, feeling your cares melt away. This gorgeous 1870 historic cottage along the Seneca Wine Lake Trail is full of rich history (including the original woodwork and high ceilings) and sits on a beautiful piece of land that's perfect for your lakeside getaway. (Please note: the dock belongs to the neighbors and is not a part of this property.) Take a canoe out on the lake to enjoy every bit of the glittering waters. Experience the gorgeous sunrises of the area by sitting on the screened porch, home to lovely lake views. There's a beautiful, large, flat lawn to enjoy. Evenings provide breathtaking stargazing you won't soon forget!
Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. The living area is filled with rich history - curl up on the plush furniture to take in a movie on the large TV, or indulge in a good book. Prepare grand meals and lake picnic snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with all the cupboard room you'll ever need. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, with ample room for personal effects. It's easy to enjoy a winery tour, with over 60 wineries in the area! The Seneca Lake trailhead is under a mile away. Experience a truly unique stay when you rest your head at this beautiful cottage, and step back in time to your most unforgettable vacation ever.
THINGS TO KNOW
One rowboat and one canoe are available for guests to use. Kayaks and paddleboards are available to rent at the nearby marina.
The dock belongs to the neighbors and is not a part of this property.
A coffee maker and small electric heaters are available for guest use.
Guests can enjoy lawn games and swimming on this property, as well as make a beach fire.
The water source is well water. Purchasing bottled water and ice may be preferred for drinking.
Please drive slowly around the cottages for safety and to keep the dust down.
Life jackets are required by local laws for each person in the rowboat or canoe. Life jackets are provided for the capacity of each boat. Water shoes are recommended.
The iron and ironing board may only be used in the kitchen or dining room for electrical safety.
Dogs must have a leash outside, and waste must be picked up and removed.
This vacation rental does not feature air-conditioning.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 8 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
