"Very friendly rooms above pub slap bang in the main street. Pretty laid back and jiust came and went as we pleased. Cat and all the staff were very friendly and helpful to us. Bar was great for a few drinks and the town is great with friendly people everywhere. Big bonus was Vale of Leithen won :-)"

"There was no one at the desk. Self check in via the hotel email. Room was on 2nd floor up two flights of winding stairs not easy to maneuver with luggage. Limited food at the hotel. Did have free parking. Very old building not handicap accessible. Room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom was very small couldn’t open the door all the way. Not recommended for older people or anyone who can’t do stairs."

"We stayed for 4 nights. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, altough there were some pretty busy hours were some people had to wait a bit to eat. Organizing your schedule, you'd do just fine, we never had to wait. And is right in the heart of the old city, just 5 minute-walk to Royal Mile. We loved it!"
"The hotel is close to zoo, so several buses to the city center are available at the bus stop just in front. It lies in a pleasant residencial neighbourhood. The breakfast is a matter of taste: good for the English standards maybe, but no papaia, no melon and no cheese.
