Cabana ON THE BEACH - Sandy Bay

Great comfortable home close to everything on the island. Just off the main road, this private beach area is in a resort setting without the crowds. This unit is the closest to the beach in the Sundancer community.
The island style cabana is nestled in a beautifully landscaped jungle canopy setting to keep the home cool and breezy. The beach front includes a private 300 ft pier accessible only by Sundancer guests. The has an upper deck for sunning, and shaded palapa over the water.
Just off the pier to the right is a natural deep water channel that allows larger sea life to come and go., Often seen are eagle rays, turtles, grouper, and large parrot fish. This natural opening is easy for boats to pick you up for fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and touring.

We are conveniently located in upper Sandy Bay, with grocery stores 5 minutes away. West End is about a 6 minute taxi ride headed west. The airport is 10 - 15 minutes away.
The Salty Mango restaurant is right next door to the east, along with the Blue Island Dive shop on the same property. Lawson's Rock is next door to the west, with a morning cafe, and restaurant. We had a great week long stay at the cabana. Conrad and Vanessa were very responsive and helpful if we had any questions. We traveled with a 12 and 14 year old boy and they had a blast snorkeling the reef that was a short swim from the end of the pier. I recommend buying an inflatable snorkeling buoy from Amazon to bring with you. We bought groceries from Eldon’s on the way to the rental from the airport and cooked in the kitchen. Blue Island Divers is a short walk down the beach and was our main hangout. The cabana was clean, quiet and perfect for our needs. The pool was a bonus! We chose not to rent a car and do not regret it. We were happy to stay in our piece of heaven.

We booked for 2 weeks but left after 5 nights. The host told me I didn't have the correct expectations for a developing country. My only expectation is what I read in the listing. In one word...Disappointed.

SunDancer is a friendly little community where fellow travelers become friends, and everyone can enjoy fantastic snorkeling off the dock, lounging by the crystal clear pool, and incredible sunsets from the upper deck of the dock! We are repeat visitors, and our host, as always, was attentive to our every need. SunDancer is a tranquil little piece of paradise where you are surrounded by the true flora and fauna of the island.

Title: Perfect Stay Near the Beach & Dive Shop!I recently stayed at this Vrbo in Roatan, and it was an amazing experience! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to a beautiful beach and a fantastic dive shop. Whether you’re looking to relax by the water or explore the underwater world, this spot is ideal.The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.If you’re looking for a convenient and cozy place on the quieter side ofRoatan, I highly recommend this rental. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was our first time visiting Roatan, we had no idea what to expect but were absolutely blown away by how awesome this little island is! The house itself is in a quieter area and there are not many dining options, but taxis were readily available and we had no problems getting around! Wpuld absolutely stay in this home again!

It was exactly as photogenic as the pictures show. The place was quiet and comfy. The property manager was amazing. Conrad you will have a visitor for a long time. Will always go back to Sandy Bay. Thank you for all the hospitality.

This place was in a beautiful, jungle feel, private and very secure spot. Emasculate beach with a private community double decker pier with swim steps, hammock hooks and high jump area. Steps from the beach that’s groomed everyday. Fabulous community pool as well. The house was super clean. The house house greeted us a little bit after arrival and was only a text away if we needed anything. Conrad was so communicative before and during our stay. We LOVED this place and plan to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and exactly what we needed for our stay. We are active people, so we were only there for sleeping and showering. A little bit further away from west end than we wanted, but was fine. We spent a lot of money in cab fare. The pool was awesome.

Perfect little casita for a quiet stay in Roatán. The location is perfect, easy to get to all areas and be away from them when a little rest and relaxation is needed. Diving (Blue Island Divers) is easily accesible from this location. Conrad was extremely helpful with all aspects of our vacation there. He's quick to reply to all questions and provides helpful insight to the planning and coordination. Highly recommend!

We loved that this was so close to the beach and that we could swim (or rent kayaks) to get out to the reef. The entire team there to support kept the place comfortable. We definitely want to go back!

Before arriving on the island, Conrad reached out to give us clear directions, not only to the property we were staying in, but also the grocery store before hand. When we arrived at the property, Maritza, the property manager, met us in the parking area, and showed us all around the property, from the cabana itself, to the pool, laundry room, beach, and dock. Maritza was absolutely fantastic our entire stay!

We were not informed about construction next door. Also, add listed Hot tub and dishwasher which were non-existent. Beach was not a swimming beach and ad implied that it was. Biggest complaint was not being informed about the construction next door. It was deafening and our unit was filled with diesel exhaust.

Cabana is located close to beach with views of ocean that were enjoyed. Unit is well equipped and met all our needs, we especially enjoyed BBQ! Luke the property manager was excellent throughout our stay from welcoming to our departure. We suggested an upgrade (toilet), which is being addressed. Pool was cloudy on occasion and it was addressed. It is a nice community of Cabanas, it was a pleasure enjoying the Sunset from the Dock with other vacationers. Overall we had a great stay and throughly enjoyed the magnificent snorkeling right off the dock and visiting the island.
