The Chalet was truly a perfect weekend getaway! We stayed two nights with our dog, Meeko, who had the time of his life exploring. The Chalet was beautiful, clean, and private. We enjoyed a trip to the caverns which was very convenient and spent the rest of the time at the cabin. There were board games which we played endlessly and the firepit was awesome. We roasted hot dogs and smores and enjoyed the outdoor space. The hot tub was clean and the relaxing. The views were just magical. A 10/10 stay at the Chalet!

Anniversary at The Chalet

The Chalet offers a variety of cozy spots to enjoy an anniversary weekend -- outside on the deck with a great view of the mountains, a hot tub for soothing legs tired from hiking, a screened-in porch, and a mini living room w TV and streaming. We enjoyed relaxing in all of these spots, plus cooking in the well-furnished kitchen. Thanks to the owners for easy communication and logistics.

The area is absolutely gorgeous and the views from the deck and balcony are stunning. The cabin itself is cozy and quiet with plenty of places to relax and enjoy listening to the river, trees, and birds. We particularly enjoyed watching the sunrise, relaxing in the hot tub, and wading in the river with our dog. Overall, a lovely place to refresh.

Great mountain getaway

The cottage was perfect for our quick getaway. Close to Shenandoah Valley National Park and the caverns. Love the porches and views. The space felt bigger than the photos even show! All the amenities we needed were available and the space was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Amazing cabin!

We loved this little cozy cabin! It was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us. The view was beautiful and the balcony and hot tub were so appreciated. The hosts were sweet to leave homemade cookies for us! We enjoyed a hike at Shenandoah River State Park and a nice dinner at The Chop House. Weā€™ll definitely be back!

Satisfying for a weekend getaway

Property was easy to locate and readily accessible. Did not realize property was on a mountain that had steep hills, just a fear of mine so it was more jarring for me but it may be nothing of substance for someone else who is used to country living. House itself was super cute and intimate! We loved the layout and hot tun was clean enough to the location and environment

Cute Cabin

My husband and i came out to the area to see the caverns and skyline drive. This cabin was such a great spot for both of those activities. The cabin was clean and in a perfect area. The view was amazing and the hot tub was so nice.

Great Mountain Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay in Luray, and the Chalet was a big part of it. Super easy to get there, key box was easy, and everything was seamless once we got there. Super cute A-frame with a beautiful view very close to Luray. 10/10 recommend!

We had an amazing weekend at the Chalet. We went for my boyfriendā€™s birthday, and he was so excited when we pulled up. We enjoyed the quaint fireplace, beautiful house, and got plenty on use out of the hot tub. The house has so much character and we will definitely be back!!

Cabin getaway

This was a perfect property for getting away for an extended weekend. Had beautiful view and visible from main bedroom, living room and hot tub. Definitely recommend it and will visit again.

This property did not meet the expectations I have for VRBO properties. We showed up late, around 9 PM and wanted to shower and go straight to bed, but came to find there were no towels or sheets on the beds. Upon further evaluation of the listing, there is a mention that linens are only provided upon request, and for an additional fee. This was not listed in the property description, or the Important to Know sections, rather it was buried in the Amenities, scrolling all the way to the bottom and listed in the notes section. I made this mistake, hopefully you wonā€™t. In addition, there was no soap or shampoo provided in showers. I guess I have come to expect sheets and soap when Iā€™m paying to rent a property, this was a major pain point for us as we started out our first night in frustration.
