Welcome to Sundance! Located on 54 acres along the historic Shenandoah River, Sundance offers you a place to return to the simpler times in life.
Amenities include:

* River access area with picnic table, chairs and fire pit
(The riverfront is solely for the use of our guests at Sundance and Walden, {VRBO#457061} Although Sundance and Walden share the riverfront, the two cabins are completely private from one anther.)

Honeymoon for the books!
My wife and I stayed at Sundance for our honeymoon in June 2024. Everything was perfect from checkin to check out. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay and definitely plan to revisit as soon as we can. Highly recommend stays here!

National Park Getaway
We stayed 2 night in mid April.We spent 2 days hiking the park. The location of the property was perfect for proximity to the park. We were traveling with our dog and there was plenty of room for him to run around. Be sure to take a stroll down to the river (wonderful bonus)! The views and the deck can’t be beat. We spent most of the time outside on the deck and in the hot tub (which was such a treat post trail hikes). It’s about 15 minutes to Luray where we grabbed dinner one night and hit the Hawksbill Brewery as well. Highly recommend this spot for a secluded getaway.

This was a wonderful setting for celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary! We especially enjoyed hiking nearby in Shenandoah National Park. The booklets about hikes in the park were very helpful. We had everything we needed in the cabin and enjoyed having dinner on the deck and by the river.

Nice location with a view
We have stayed at other Woodside properties and all are nicely outfitted, clean and in good locations. Temps were cold, but we missed the snow this time. Will be back.

We loved our stay at Sundance! The property was super clean and exactly as pictured. It was a beautiful area and not too far from Skyline Drive. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. We would definitely recommend this property!

Secluded with a beautiful view of the valley at 781 feet up. Has everything you need to cook, decent portable stereo, tv. Reliable wifi. Lovely deck with hot tub. I will come back with my fishing pole in the summer to take advantage of the river access, a 1/2 mile walk from the cabin.

Quite the getaway!
The pictures of this property do not do justice to how wonderful this property is! Clean, well-appointed, and the location is great! Unfortunately, we stayed the weekend of Ophelia, so the weather left much to be desired. We are planning on another visit so we can see more of the beauty of the Shenandoah valley. Really appreciated the receiver with Bluetooth. Just connected my phone, and had Spotify all weekend. The hot tub was great. Communication with the owner was quick and responsive! Highly recommend this property!

Loved It!
I was very much impressed by the experience we got during our 3 night stay at Sundance. The Cabin had just about everything we needed and was well kept. The bed was comfortable and the shower design was really nice. I don’t think you can find better views than what you’ll find at Sundance. It was a awesome retreat from the hustle and bustle of 9-5 office work. Me and my girlfriend will definitely be coming back again!

Sundance is awesome
We absolutely loved the cabin/home, the location was perfect, the River Walk through the woods and meadows was serene, the quiet at night, beautiful sunsets, cozy fire pit, and super clean hot tub were just a few of the amenities. We worked remotely so needed reliable internet…it was reliable. Used the Netflix, reviewed the folder of brochures, loved the extra lock box for the second key, and appreciated the hot water temperature to take a relaxing shower. 5 stars all around!

Websters definition of PEACE ON EARTH.
This was the most therapeutic place I have ever seen or been to. If you are looking to getaway from this crazy thing call life and find peace within yourself. This is the place to be. I will most definitely be back for another refreshing stay.

Sundance is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the surrounding area. We kayaked on the River. The River area was so fabulous. The views ,cooking out on the patio hanging in the hot tub and fires at night made for such a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing!

Total relaxation
This was the third cabin we’ve rented in the area. This was the cleanest nicest cabin so far. Derik was great to work with and definitely took care of us when there was a problem with the cabin we were supposed to rent. He switched us to Walden as it was unoccupied. Very pleased with this property and would definitely rent again. This cabin didn’t have the majestic mountain views but the property was beautiful with a short walk to the river. The only thing we could find to complain about was the gnats when walking outside. LOL. Thank you Derik for a wonderful relaxing few days. Would love to buy this property if we could. We highly recommend it. I hate to give it such great reviews as it might make it harder to rent next time due to being occupied all the time. Definitely would recommend it though
