Retreat to a private cabin on the Shenandoah river with spectacular views of the river, mountains, and valley. This wheelchair friendly cabin boasts beautiful mountain views, a hot tub, full kitchen, decks, private river access for river swimming, fishing, canoeing (Canoe rentals nearby), and walking paths.

Mountain Getaway
My wife and I stayed and absolutely loved every minute here. The views are utterly breathtaking. The hot tub was amazing to enjoy the sunsets in. The river is just a short walk away and extremely tranquil to sit beside and listen. We truly enjoyed our stay so much more than we could have hoped for.

Nina was a great host. She replied to my questions promptly. The house was perfect for our family. We loved the hot tub, Mountain View, and the short distance to the river. The entrance into the river was very steep/muddy and tough for myself and baby to get in/out. The area was large and very private. Thank you !

Fourth of July Peace
My son and I had an amazing stay at the cabin. Even in 99° heat there was always a way to enjoy a cool breeze or the waters of the Shenandoah. The cabin was open and spacious and relaxing. The first night we were there we were beat and just wanted to spend some time on the couch, which was perfect because we could still enjoy the fireworks from the amazing view. Caverns are close lots of great little breweries if you want to get out a bit. Nina was a wonderful host and provided most everything you would need for weekend getaway. Made for a very easy trip.

Beautiful View
My husband and I really enjoyed our long weekend! The first night's sunset was spectacular and we really enjoyed relaxing by the river. The cabin was spacious and the beds comfortable. Our only issue was the condition of some of the cookware and kitchen items. Otherwise, we highly recommend this property.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
I have to say the last two reviews made us a bit nervous but those people must have been self-proclaimed critics because we had a truly exceptional experience. Everything was perfect - the hot tub, the river access point, the fire pit(s). A dream come true. We will absolutely be back. Nina’s friendliness and attention to detail made this truly a one of a kind experience. Can’t wait to bring our whole family back!!

Quiet, Comfy, Convenient
The Star View Cabin was very cozy, nestled far enough from the road to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient. The walk to the river is bucolic and just right, fishing and other river activities just steps away. The view from the deck/bedroom/fire pit is wonderful. You're VERY close to all that Luray has to offer - and just a tiny bit of a drive to either of the main entrances to Shenandoah National Park. The fire pit and hot tub are great, and the wifi was fast and consistent! All in all a great little place for a getaway.

Great weekend getaway
This cabin was very comfortable and clean! The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. The views from the inside are just as spectacular on the outside. While the house is not directly on the reiver that was okay. We figured it would be hard to find a house right on the river with amazing views of the mountains off in the distance. The walk down to the river is not bad. It takes about 7 or so minutes. I highly recommend boots or something other than standard shoes if you go before the dew dries up in the grass. My feet were soaked from the morning due walking down to the river. The walk back up is a bit tedious given that it’s mostly up hill. If you’re going down to the river for a cocktail, I highly recommend taking a truck! Our only grievances if you would even call them that was the internet is very spotty. It made trying to stream anything almost impossible in the evenings especially since the router kept going out every 5 or so minutes. There is very little cellphone signal, so you need the internet to even text. I recommend downloading music and/or movies/shows so you don’t have to fully rely on the internet. The hot tub could also use some TLC and a good cleaning since it was dirty and was not working properly during our stay (knobs missing or broken, jets were weak). All in all, I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful and private getaway. I have put it on my list of places to hopefully visit again in the future!

Weekend Getaway
My Husband and I spent a few days just relaxing and watching movies. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to prepare any meal. Overall, well maintained property.; Could have used a little more detail to cleaning but I have seen much worse. The view of the river is totally obstructed from the deck- the only way to enjoy the river, you must drive a short distance down to the river, and it is a shared space with others staying in the area. Hot tub nice for 2 adults- but will not fit any more than that comfortably; but that was not an issue for us-- it also probably could used a good cleaning. We would definitely return, maybe choosing one of the properties alittle closer to the river. Overall very nice experience.

Great weekend away
My husband and I stayed for a short weekend away from the city. This place is the perfect place to disconnect and surround yourself with nature and beautiful views. Only suggestion that I have for guests is to be sure you bring towels, cooking oil, extra paper towells, and coffee/tea of your choice. Otherwise, everything is provided!

Honeymoon getaway
The place was perfect for destressing. Easy access and house was very clean. Hottub was very nice in the evenings. Had everything i was looking for to get away for a few days with my wife and dog. Definitely will be looking at it for the future rental again. Nina was also very good at responding to questions i had.

It’s nothing you can’t like; you have a beautiful cabin, a great view, tones of space to feel free to relax, a hot tub ready for you after hiking….and silence, which nowadays is very hard to get. We will definitely come back.

The perfect house
This house was more than what the pictures show because once you’re inside the views are incredible. I could’ve stayed at the house, lit the fireplace and not gone anywhere. Being able to walk down to the creek was nice for the pups. The view down there is just as beautiful. We’ve been trying to decide where we want to finalize a move to; the beach or the woods. This house defines what we’re looking for. It’s quiet and cozy and all we need. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Relaxing Retreat
We had a relaxing stay and loved the location! Beautiful views and a short walk down the driveway to the river. The hot tub was perfect since we visited in February. The proximity to downtown Luray was so convenient, not to mention there we great dining options! We even walked the Hawksbill Greenway trail. Definitely recommend staying here - we hope to be back one Summer or Fall to see how the view changes!
