The apartments did vary in terms of cleanliness and we could tell that some of the rooms in a few of the apartments hadn't been used in a while as they had a little musty-ness to them. However we communicated this to the host and they were responsive to our requests which was great -- ended up being...

"I had a pleasant stay at this place. The property itself was nicely renovated and very clean, offering a comfortable environment. Although the surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough, I felt secure during my stay, especially with the convenience of having a guaranteed parking spot on the property. Overall, it was a great place to stay."

"Place was wiped down clean but needs a deep clean! Carpets are super gross. Kitchen has lots of things but very random. (Think old time swap meet). Lots of space but the cleanliness and mod podge made it feel very lived in and not quite prepared for guests."

"THE POOL WAS CLOSED OUR WHOLE STAY. I ASKED ABOUT IT AND HOST SAID THEY WOULD CHECK ON IT. WHEN I REACHED OUT AGAIN BECAUSE THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME, THEY DID NOT RESPOND AT ALL. Hot tub was luke warm and when it did start to work there were too many people in it. Good location, 2.5 bathrooms, and the AC worked good. Was close to many stores and everything we wanted to do. Trying to communicate with the host after I booked the place was an unpleasant experience. They did not answer several...

"This is a convenient, comfortable location in a walkable neighborhood that has a littke of everything. Easy access to the interstate to get wherever you need. It is an upstairs unit with no AC, so it can get very warm in late afternoons, but in the evening there are plenty of fans to help cool things down. plenty of windows to open and fans "

"This is a very nice updated property. Secure access in a great location to all of the things around balboa park, Gaslamp, little Italy, etc. Planes landing at the airport can be loud, but it really didn’t seem to bother our kids while sleeping. Very comfortable place. Nice kitchen and bathrooms."

"Perfect little condo for 2 people on a short visit to family in the area. Bed was very comfortable. All very clean. A/C was appreciated as were the nice little touches of toiletries provided and Netflix on the TV. We had the small pool to ourselves for a cooling dip. Would definitely stay at this condo again when visiting family."
