The Price includes:

The Collina di Megli, today an prevalently residential area overlooking the sea and dominating the town of Recco, was, in the distant past, an agricultural area mainly made up of olive groves. Villa Baia Blu was originally a farmhouse divided into two parts, the main house and the annex, the caretaker's residence. The two-storey villa was completely renovated a few years ago, using high quality modern materials while still maintaining part of the original, period ones. The huge kitchen, with the original majolica tiles and the antique “runfò genovesi” (Genoese ovens) combined with modern equipment, represents the most striking example of the perfect combination of old and functional modern. Thanks to its dominant position, you have a breathtaking view over the entire Golfo Paradiso, the town of Recco and its beach but, above all, over the last headland of the Monte di Portofino, in the Natural Marine Park. The villa is surrounded by a large private park with the vibrant green of the lawn contrasting with the intense blue of the sea which the entire property overlooks. The splendid swimming pool, too, lies in a panoramic position over the gulf, with a view of the green natural park of Monte di Portofino.

Interior:
The property consists of a main villa and an annex. MAIN VILLA: On two floors, the main entrance is on the first floor. Access to the ground floor is either internally via a 20-step staircase that descends from the first floor of the villa or through the French windows of the living room and via an external stone staircase, also with twenty steps. The internal staircase opens into a large living room divided into two areas, with a beautiful fireplace, a TV, a stereo system with iPod docking station in the larger part. Large French windows open out to the patio and the lawn surrounding the swimming pool. Next to the living room is a double bedroom with private bathroom with shower, also with direct access out to the garden. A further bathroom with shower completes the ground floor of the main villa. The main entrance of the villa is located at the rear and can be reached from the private parking area up a few metres, without steps, to reach the first floor. On the right of the entrance is the large fully-equipped kitchen with a five burner hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, antique ornamental oven and a dining table seating 12. The dining table on the terrace, accessed directly from the kitchen, also seats 12. A gas barbecue completes the outdoor dining area that is covered by large umbrellas. At the back of the kitchen, a spacious pantry with a large fridge and freezer is used as a laundry/ironing room with washing machine and sink. From the kitchen a corridor leads to a double bedroom served by an adjacent bathroom with tub while another guest bathroom serves the kitchen. From the entrance, on the left, you accede directly to two twin bedrooms. both with joinable beds, one of which has an ornamental fireplace. The two bedrooms are next to a bathroom with shower. All the bedrooms on this floor have a complete view of the sea. ANNEX: The two-storey annex, which is in fact part of the main villa building, is located on the left and has no internal connection with the central body. This annex can be considered a complete villa in all respects; access, through the entrance on the ground floor, is directly from the garden and lawn on the same level as the swimming pool. Like the main villa, it faces the sea; on the ground floor the large, welcoming living room, with sofas, armchairs and TV, leads to a bathroom, with shower and washing machine, as well as to the fully-equipped kitchen with a table seating 4. Next to the kitchen is a dining room with a table for six people. From the ground floor living room a 14-step winding staircase leads up to the first floor where two bedrooms lead off from the hallway, one with two joinable beds and en-suite bathroom with shower and balcony facing the sea, and a double, also with sea view, served by an adjacent bathroom with tub. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and each bathroom is provided with a hairdryer.

Park:
The fenced property extends for about 4000 sq m, essentially lawn and planted with olive trees, on terraced land sloping down at the front of the villa. The part with the panoramic swimming pool, next to the living room on the ground floor, is completely flat with a lawn, overlooking the gulf and sunny all day long. Flower beds and herbs frame the whole Mediterranean garden facing the sea. Guests can enjoy themselves in the pleasant portico, set up as a lounge area, next to the ground floor living room. The kitchen on the upper floor opens out to a panoramic terrace equipped as an outdoor dining area with a table seating 12 and a barbecue.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
Thirty metres from the villa and located on the lawn to the right of it, on the same level as the ground floor living room, and with a complete view over the whole gulf, is the rectangular swimming pool which measures10 x 4 m with a constant depth of 1,20 m. Lined in intense sea-blue PVC and surrounded by a white travertine border, it has salt purification and semi-circular Roman steps for access to the water. The lawn sunbathing area is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and tables. There is an half bath, an outdoor cold-water shower and external and internal lighting. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.
