"We had a lovely restful week in this well-appointed cabin in the woods. The walls, floors, and even the ceilings are made of wood all assembled by a ream of excellent carpenters. The kitchen is highly functional and well-outfitted. The stove works very well. The living areas are very comfortable as are the bedrooms. We enjoyed the wood stove. "We had a wonderful stay in this recently remodeled house. The location was perfect -- just outside the hubbub of Lake Placid -- but close enough to make it convenient to run into town. The kitchen was recently remodeled and painted. The peninsula in the photos was removed, but wasn't missed. It opened up the room and plenty of counter space remains. "The location was great. Hiking to the third floor was not terrible. The decor and cleanliness were top notch. Only complaints were that it was cold in the apartment. "The condo has a beautiful view and is walkable to downtown. Mirror Lake is closer than the photos indicate and we loved the hike around it. We enjoyed our stay and slept fine. The decor is filled with past Olympic memorabilia. The furnishings are very old and the linens do need to be updated. "
