"Hotel was okay apart from the latch on the bedroom door being faulty. A little distressed about it as it was the day I checked in. I locked the door ready to settle down for the evening, but remembered that I had left something in my car. As I tried to exit the room the latch was stuck and had to phone reception who sent someone to break me out. "Location was great and it was easy to find. I booked 2 family rooms, which were perfect for us and a good price. Rooms were clean, quiet, and had everything we required for our stay. Eg enough towels, extra pillows. Staff were polite, professional and happy to help. "Very good value overall. I was a bit sceptical because I picked up my reservation for just over £40 through the internet and wasn’t sure what to expect at that price point. Car park was free, very well lit. Single room not at all cramped and got a good sleep even though I was facing the road as it is not busy at night. Bathroom suite and shower looked fairly recent and all very clean. Of course the decor and furniture aren’t like your £100 a night hotel but that not worth the difference in price...

"The hotel was in the perfect location for the rail station, which was the reason for booking. The hotel was adequate in regards to their facilities, and the owner was very friendly, which is always a plus. The room was small, but fine for an overnight stay. It was a little bit musty in smell, though probably just needed airing a little bit more. Breakfast was reasonable and I was accommodated for allergies and preference. "

"It was a comfortable stay. There were a few things that could be seen as a safety issue but nothing that’s not fixable. The radiators didn’t work and the room did get quite cold but other than that it was a secure and safe place.
