The Space:
The 1897 Murray-Whitley house is a Durham landmark on Trinity Avenue; The impeccable multi-year renovation was completed in 2022. The interior of the home has hardwood floors, beadboard ceilings, custom and salvaged builtins and historic style molding throughout. The showpiece kitchen features 36" Viking gas range, pot filler, double ovens, dual sinks, dual dishwashers, wine fridge, pantry, bar, granite counters, custom mahogany island with luxurious Frontgate seating for 6 and bonus leather swivel reading chairs. The expansive home offers abundant gathering spaces, spacious & well-equipped rooms, tall ceilings, plush beds, wrap around front porch with rocking chairs, Jacuzzi in the private backyard, gas grill & comfortable outdoor furniture. The newly updated baths include a downstairs marbled master walk in shower with Jets, hall bath with restored tub and subway tile (perfect for the kids), upstairs master with walkin shower and spa stone flooring, and hall bath with new walk-in shower and rain showerhead. The bedrooms are well-furnished, elegant, comfortable and bright. The bathrooms all feature true ceramic and stone tiling, and high quality finishes. We use Free & Clear Unscented laundry detergent on bedding and towels so our guests with sensitivities to perfumed products can breath easy.

The Neighborhood:
From your steps, it is 1/2 mile (10 minute walk) to much of the best that Downtown Durham has to offer, including LouElla Wine Bar, Cocoa Cinnamon Coffee, Fullsteam Brewery, Motorco music venue and Bar. You'll travel along tree lined streets past historic homes on your way. It's an easy trip to the Saturday morning farmers market, Durham Art walks, the Carolina Theater, and many, many exceptional restaurants and unique bars. Getting Around:
There are many bus lines that should take you very near our house; We're centrally located; by car, we're approximately 3 minutes from I-85 or NC-147, or an easy walk / Lyft / Uber ride downtown.
Other Things to Note:
We have a Smart TV with access to Netflix, your Amazon or Hulu account, and many other apps. We Cut the Cord on Cable, but offer YouTubeTV which functions similar to Cable and offers tons of Live or On Demand Options!
