"Check in was easy and friendly. Our car registration was taken for the car park as it’s a payment one. We stayed in Blossom which is a short walk along the road. There is also parking there. The room was good and spacious, comfortable large bed, tv and coffee making facilities. We had breakfast at the hotel which was good too. "

Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced and breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is a good choice of food on the dinner menu. "We had never visited Wells and was interested in going to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Hotel looked well placed for this. Overall a good hotel with a good restaurant. Room a bit snug and absence of shower not great for visitors of a certain age. Bath looked like too much of a slip hazard. "

"Stayed just for a night. Overall I loved the old charm of the pub and the lovely big fireplaces, the food was nice, the staff were wonderful, but it wasn’t the best hotel room. - The “double/king bed” is 2 singles pushed together which is my pet hate. - cheap furniture needs upgrading. - The bathroom really needs an update. There was paint chippings from the walls all over the floor & in the shower cubical. The shower leaked & dripped all night. The bedding & textiles all felt thin & cheap....
