"The bus was cute, a lot of reviews are complaining about bugs and spiders, but I don't know what people are expecting with a bus in the woods. There's also a lot of complaints about mould on the curtains, however the state is humid and I didn't see any mould, just rust stains on the curtains. "The lake house was perfect for our Hokie’s graduation The house was cozy and clean. We spent so much time in the screened in porch because we were sheltered from the rain on a few days. We rented a pontoon and were able to use the dock. We had our lunch on the lower sundeck (lots of steps, but worth it). Sherry was quick to respond to all my questions and had many helpful suggestions. I only wish we had discovered the Lakehouse sooner! A great place for relaxing!"

"My 8yr old son and I were in town for one night and needed a place to stay. Found the Blank Slate bus and jumped on it, AFTER reading all of the details. We could not have had more fun! Everything was tidy and clean. Having most of our camping supplies, we were over prepared. Once we got settled in for the night, it was all we needed. Waking up in a forest but only a few miles from civilization was a plus.Could not recommend more! It was lovely."

"This house was perfect for me and my friends. Very clean and decent location. Also the gated porch was perfect for hanging out and having my dog. Had everything we needed from toiletries to kitchen gadgets. We will be returning!! "

"We initially chose this property because it was a halfway meeting point for three couples. The accommodations exceeded expectations. The layout of the living room and kitchen provided a nice flow for all to hangout. We brought kayaks and bikes and spent time exploring the river as well as the local trails. We even brought our cat who enjoyed sitting on the porch and window sills. The only thing we wish we could change was the size of the two first floor bedrooms. A little small but not a deal...

"This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. "Pictures and descriptions are accurate. Was the perfect set up for 3 of us to get out and do some fishing on the lake. Great outdoor sitting space in a quiet cove. Simple and relaxing spot, which is exactly what we were looking for. Had a great time during our stay."

"This property is beautiful and the house is wonderful. It is very important that anyone who stays here is aware of the steepness of the driveway! My car could not make it up. I had read the reviews that warned me and I just thought they were over reacting. They were not. I had to haul my stuff in from half way up because my car could not make it any farther up.
