"A small but wonderful cottage on the outskirts of town. Quiet and rural, we wanted a place to relax without traffic or noise. There are sheep and cows in the area, chickens, some cute bunnies and pheasants running around. The owners are wonderful people who helped us throughout our stay. We stayed a week and although small, the cottage had everything we needed - and if not, the owners were right there helping. The outdoor seating area is great on spring and summer days, completely enclosed...

Also was not advised of the severe water shortage (heads up would have been nice) and someone was going to come round and measure what was in the tank - no-one came we were very conservative with the water and would have been anyway if we had been told..Maybe a reduction in the daily rate would have been welcome due to the above. "As a group we have stayed here before and again it did not disappoint. This is a remote bach and therefore do not expect all the comforts of a major city but that is why we will continue to return. That and the outstanding scenerey, location, access to the epic fishing grounds including the harbour. I live in Whanganui and this trip is well worth the 14 hrs drive, towing a boat. Aware that sounds bizarre but if your a fisherman this location is paradise. Much appreciated to hosts. Lee"
