"Lovely area to go back to after exploring Newport and area. A stop to Sweet Berry farm and Pebble Beach just a bit away from home was great.We also went to second Beach which was nicer than Easton beach. Very comfortable accommodations. Matt was easy to communicate with."

"This is the perfect location with lots of space. My family and I were quite comfortable staying here. The only drawback is that the unit isn't the most child friendly as there is a steep spiral staircase we didn't know about until we got there. Additionally, for whoever stays in the room with the queen bed, privacy could be an issue as guests staying in the room with the king bed will need to pass through the room with the queen bed to get to the kitchen downstairs. "The cottage is spacious for 2 people. It is very comfortable and easy to navigate to and from in a quiet neighborhood. It is well appointed. We chose it to have access to the south and west. The resident lab is friendly and likes head scratches. "

"My husband and I had a beautiful stay in Gertrude for two nights. The property is beautiful and feels secluded but is close and convenient to everything you need. The only thing to note is that the only cooking facilities are a small grill and a kettle for tea/coffee. Also a mini fridge. All worked perfectly, but good to know for planning!"

"We were in town for a family wedding and the location was perfect for getting around. It’s about a two mile walk to downtown Newport, which we did walk, or it was easy to Uber as well. House was well equipped with pots pans etc, plenty of comfortable beds for everyone and towels. Hosts communicated well and we had a fabulous visit. I would stay here again. "

"Wow! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! From the decor and location to the cleanliness to the excellent communication with Joe our host, it was the perfect place to stay. House fully stocked and supplied with everything you could need for a beautiful getaway. Had an exciting day at URI football game and 2 amazing dinners at Matunuk oyster bar and Celeste..Perfect URI Family Weekend in the books. We will absolutely be booking again!
