TRASH / RECYCLING
Trash pickup is very early Wednesday morning, and it is the guest’s responsibility to take the trash bin out the night before. Please take the large trash can out to the road, at the end of the driveway and place on the opposite side of the driveway from the mailbox, on Tuesday evening. Please bring in the trash can sometime on Wednesday. You will be fined $150 by the Princeville Association if the trash can is put out earlier than Tuesday at noon or put away later than Wednesday evening. If we (the property manager, inspector or cleaners) are on or near the property on Tuesday, we will put the trash out for you, but most of the time the responsibility is on the guest to put out and retrieve the trash can. Further, since it is critical that the trash is picked up each week, if the trash is not picked up, there will be a dump run fee of $150 charged to you. Please place your recycling in the recycling tubs, separating cans from plastic, from glass and cardboard. Recycling is picked up, separate from trash, once a week. Please leave the recycling containers in place for pick up.
AIR CONDITIONING (A/C)
We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay, and we ask you to be conscious of your Air Conditioning use. Please always do the following:

Close all windows and doors in the room that air conditioning is in operation
When leaving the house, turn off AC, or turn up temp to 76°
Kauai utility rates are the highest in the nation. Per our rental contract, you may be charged a daily fee of $50 for overuse of AC. When guests overuse the AC, it causes are nightly rates to increase. Help us keep our rates down for your next visit and for other future guests.
NOISE CONTROL – VERY IMPORTANT!!
Realize that you’re staying in a residential neighborhood which is monitored/patrolled by the Princeville Association. There is strict enforcement/penalty for any and all noise complaints. Princeville Association’s rule, for which there is no warning and a fine of $500 is issued (payable by the guest), states: No noxious or offensive activity shall be carried on upon any land in Princeville, nor shall anything be done thereon which may be or may become an annoyance or nuisance to the neighborhood. Noise sources which may constitute an annoyance/nuisance include, but are not limited to: boisterous activities, musical instruments, audio equipment, televisions, unmuffled or inadequately muffled motor vehicles, public address systems, spa/pool activity. Nuisance noise is defined as being excessively loud at the property line of the nearest neighbor.
