Change of scenery
We work remote and wanted a change of scenery. Mitch confirmed 3 people could work with no issues and he was correct. Even though we worked during the day we had a blast after work. The frozen lake was beautiful, the house is great. Have no complaints. Thank you so much Mitch!

Winter Family Get Away
This was my family's second year renting this property. It is a lovely lake side home. There are a few things that were damaged prior to our arrival due to previous guests. I think a note making future guest aware of these things would help. I was worried that we would be charged for others actions. I did express my concerns with the property owner, he was very accommodating and understanding. He express that he was aware of the issues and was in the process of getting everything fixed. Overall I would definitely stay at this property again, and hope to make it annual trip.

Family Friendly Getaway
This house truly embraces everything that is “up north”. Our extended family enjoyed a long weekend together and we can’t say enough great things. It is the perfect place for all ages and such a great space for multiple families to share.

Very nice stay; one of the best!
I have been coming to Grand Lake for over 60 years. I have probably stayed in 30 or so different cottages over the years This was one of the best, and perfect for the large family group I had for this trip. Mitch, the owner, is very responsive to whatever your need might be. The cottage is very well equipped, both inside and out. Everyone in my group had a wonderful time, and we were lucky with the weather, as it only rained one day during our stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone with a large group! I hope to stay here again in the future.

Grand week on Grand Lake
Communication with Mitch was very timely from the moment we found his home and had a few questions before reserving last year-the week of our arrival. The view-awesome. We knew there was a lot of lake frontage but it didn’t sink in until our arrival. We all took one last view before heading home as we didn’t want to forget what we enjoyed for 7 days. The home is very spacious we had 10 adults and one child and it never felt crowded. The sectional in the living room allowed all of us to be together in the evening. The kitchen and eating area offer views of the lake as well. There’s plenty of dishes and cookware too. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boat. Love that the water is shallow and sandy by the house. We all were able to float on our floats while catching some sun. The home also had corn hole and other games to use during our stay. We also enjoyed the outdoor speakers. We rented the pontoon one day which gave us an opportunity to explore Grand Lake. The home is well supplied cleaning items, toilet paper, paper towel, dish liquid and even laundry soap. Our whole group would love to stay here again.

Overall, was very good. Couple of suggestions for improvement include adding a load of gravel to the long driveway to eliminate the potholes; get new outdoor furniture cushions with covers and ask the renters to cover them each night to keep the cushions dry and mildew free. Few strong positives include nice sandy swimming, fire pit area, well equipped kitchen, nice seating area in kitchen and dining, nice docking capabilities for pontoon.

Awesome house!
Hockey coaches and their spouses remted this beautiful home the weekend of a hockey tournament. The house is huge and has the best supplied kitchen I have ever seen. We had 13 adults in our group and there were plenty of beds amd room available in the kitchen and living room. Because of snow, we didn't spend time outside, but it was a beautiful setting with a gorgeous view of the lake. We would definitely rent again if we have another tournament in the area.

Winter Hideaway
Our stay here was fantastic. Traveling with a group of 7 can be stressful but the house had plenty of room for all of us to spread out and have our own space. The kitchen was gorgeous and roomy and had everything you could need. Beautiful view of the snow and lake. It was a wonderful home away from home and we can’t wait to book again.

A Family Thanksgiving
The Property is beautiful inside and out. We had a very special Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could ever need. This is our second stay, and we will definitely stay again. The property is absolutely a gem!

Absolutely Perfect Getaway
Beautiful home along with beautiful property. The main living space was perfect with the wood burning stove and amazingly comfortable furniture. The kitchen is a cooks dream with open space into the dining area. We loved the sound system. The deck was big enough for our large group to enjoy together.

Labor day family group trip
My parents, siblings and their families rented the property over Labor day weekend. The property worked out perfectly for our group of 12 plus one baby.. We were lucky enough to have some nice days mixed in with some cooler so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful water on those days. The shallow, sandy bottom water was great for the kids to play in with no worries. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and the bathrooms had plenty of towels! Mitch was a great host by showing us how to work a few things upon arrival. Overall the property was great and we will definitely revisit again in the future!

Beautiful Presque Isle Property
Beautiful home, so well stocked to cook, grill, and have fun out in the water! The home is in a great location in Presque Isle - near the lighthouses and Woody’s - and with a pontoon available to rent. Mitch was incredibly responsive and the entire family had fun at his beautiful property.

Great Stay in Presque Isle
This house was a great find! The host was easy and quick to communicate with us. The house was spacious, clean, and very well appointed. The lake was perfect for 4 young children: shallow, warm, with a sandy bottom. We would absolutely book this house again!

Relaxed and Cozy Fall Retreat
Our office team holds an annual fall retreat and strategic planning day. We always look for a place that is within an hour's drive of our Alpena office, with lots of space, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for those who want to spend the night and clean, comfortable, beautiful gathering space with good internet. This place checked all the boxes and then some. It was so lovely, relaxed and peaceful with tons of space to spread out as well as large gathering areas in living room and dining/kitchen area. Wonderful renovated kitchen with new appliances and very well stocked with nice dishes, pots and pans, knives, pantry items. We rent lots of vacation places and this one is the most thoughtfully equipped of any we have stayed. The host really thought of everything. Mitch was very accommodating and quick in responding to communication. We definitely want to come back. This is a gorgeous spot!

Excellent Home
From the communication with the owner to the end of our stay, it was Perfect! Beautiful home right on the water. The cleanest rental home I've stayed in. The extras were unexpected and just added to our stay. Speaker system on IPad for inside and outside, fire wood for both fireplaces and fire pit, every kitchen tool and appliance needed and then some. We did not have to go out and buy anything. The beds and bedding are extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this home and will be using it again. Thank you for letting us use your home! Jen & Scott and crew.

Nice house and location
We had a great time staying at this Grand Lake property. The kitchen was well appointed. Just a couple of suggestions: 1. The lawn was sprayed on a day we were there. That limited the time we could spend walking on the grass. 2. When I stripped the sheets from my bed this morning, the mattress protector had some brown stains on it that I am hoping are from spilled coffee. Whoever made that bed after the last renters should have ensured that the mattress protector was laundered before making the bed with clean sheets. 3. The I-pad music system did not work for us even with the access code.

Awesome house, property, and location. Overall, more than we expected! Figuring out some of the tech at the home may take a little while if you're not savvy! But, once you get it figured out, its very convenient! We will definitely be back!

A Beautiful Lakefront Home
We had a great time in a wonderful location. Mitch, the owner was attentive as needed. The home has everything we needed in a beautiful setting. The beds were very comfortable, the beach was great, and despite its somewhat isolated location, there are several services nearby including a nice grocery and restaurants nearby.

We had a blast staying at this lake house. It was been better than we expected.
This was a great rental. Mitch was there when we arrived and he showed us around. The place is so convenient we really never had a need to contact him after that. The kitchen had all we needed. All the bedrooms had plenty of room with nice beds. The lake was a bit of a surprise. We had no idea how much lake front we would have. We also had no idea how nice and sandy it would be right out front. We planned to go to the beach but the kids loved it here. Our own private beach. We hope to come back again. Everything about this lake house was relaxing. So much room for all of us to eat and spend time together. The dock also worked out great for our boat. Beautiful lake.

Amazing home away from home!
The house on grand lake was perfect for our family of 10. There was plenty of room and the home had all we needed and more! The kitchen was incredible. The outside deck and fire pit with the dock we’re all perfect. We brought our boat and loved cruising the lake. The owner was very helpful and responsive! We would definitely stay again!
