"We had an excellent stay and really enjoyed interacting with Margaret. She was very polite and attentive. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend this location. Its just a quick drive to the local shops, there is an amazing park with a castle in Portumna, and we were able to visit neighboring towns with ease. I was very impressed with the information Margaret provided. She was kind enough to print out a packet that contains everything you need to know during your stay....

"Other reviews are perfect examples of this place. Was so nice, so clean and comfortable for our young kids and grandparents. Layout of the house is great. And they have the best toys for children. "Our family of 5 adults had such a pleasant stay at the Dairy Cottage. Michael and Sheila made sure all was well for us and offered suggestions and directions for our daily excursions. We all enjoyed returning to the quiet cottage and its beautiful surroundings after our full days of adventures. I recommend the Dairy Cottage to those who want a fantastic experience in Ireland."

"The property was better than described, being large, comfortable and with wonderful views. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. "Super, friendly host Joe met us and gave us an insight into the local area and lots of information. There was just the two of us but the property could easily accommodate seven people. All the facilities that we required, a true home from home. Perfect location for our days out both locally and as far as Waterford, Dublin, Galway and Westport. Thanks again Joe."

"Great, central location in Ireland. Could drive to Galway, Clanmacnoise, Rock of Cashel, Burren, Dublin area easily and be back. All within two hours, some even 20 minutes. Parking great and walked to pubs, music, groceries, etc. 8 family including kids. Kids loved the loft area and family loved main dining/living area. Beds basic and comfortable, price was great for family budget! Thanks Sean!"

"My wife and I came to vacation in Ireland with our 6 children. This was a lovely home that fit us perfectly. We stayed a week and traveled each day to another location to see the SW of the country. Caroline the property manager was very nice and very responsive. The only constructive feedback I would give is that it would be nice to have screens on the bedroom windows. This may not be applicable for the majority of the year, but it was very warm when we stayed, and with no A/C, we wanted to open...

"The cottage was very comfortable. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The location was central to all the places we visited. We enjoyed our daily drives through the countryside and having a relaxing place to stay when we returned each evening. On our final day, we enjoyed touring the local area and found that there was plenty to do in or near Mountshannon. It was nice taking a break from driving. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early...

"From the minute we stepped foot into this property, we felt at home. We were met with sparkling clean accommodations, breathtaking views, a bowl of fruit on the table, and coffee and teabags in the counter! The rooms were all comfortable and attractive, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, tea pots, coffee press, sugar, spices, etc. We had a wonderful holiday at Shannon View, and recommend it highly!
