"Our overall experience was great. The staff are friendly and helpful the optional meals were excellent, and the setting is beautiful. We enjoyed the hiking trails on the property and the pool. Be aware: the rooms are not air conditioned. The rooms have screened windows and a ceiling fan, which we found to be adequate in mid-June. "

"It is exactly as the photos show. I arrived late, was walked to the hut (I guess that’s what you’d call it), and I admit I was skeptical of how well I’d be able to sleep with no walls to keep the bugs out. No bugs bothered me at all. In Texas you’d have thousands of mosquitoes, and flying insects but here, none. The singing of the tree frogs in the forest put me to sleep and I slept better than I have in at least a year. "We decided to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city for a few days and enjoyed our stay. Be prepared for curvy mountain roads. "This was our second time staying at the Hacienda. We absolutely loved it. There’s so much to do at home, our teenager and young adults were never bored. We swam, played games and music. Although there is a tv available, it wasn't needed nor missed. Staying here made for some quality family time. Coral and Camacho made our stay beyond comfortable. "Reinaldo and Iris, the couple who rent the apartment, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ciudad del Tomate. "If you are wondering if you should book this beautiful home. Stop wondering and just book it you wont regret it. The pictures are beautiful but in person it is breath taking. The view alone is amazing and the house just as beautiful. My family and I stood for a week and wish we could have stayed longer.
