Quaint, air-conditioned, and full of natural light, this home is part of the charming Barefoot Cottages that sit three miles north of downtown Port St. Joe. You'll find nearby access to white sand and the Gulf of Mexico by driving one mile northwest to the public WindMark Beach.

This home is also a haven for anglers, divers, snorkelers, and boating enthusiasts, who will find a gorgeous route across Saint Joseph Bay to T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. As for Port St. Joe, the serene and walkable downtown is home to a variety of seafood bistros, antique shops, and a marina for setting sail on the gulf.

We had a great stay. I only have one suggestion. The code to get in the house was soooooooooo long. Everytime we entered i had to fumble through my email to find it. It was impossible to remeber.

Neighbors were quiet. Loved the layout of the inside. Bedrooms were large. Loved the fact the pool was right outside the screened porch.

Unit needs help
After it was cleaned (check in at 4 and unit had not been cleaned until 6 pm) we enjoyed the stay. Close to pool and restaurants. Repairs are needed in the unit as floor in living room was lifting and soft. Faucet in master bedroom was leaking and screen door was ready to fall off snd holes in screen

Nice Place
We enjoyed our stay and it was relaxing. The rental definitely needs some fixing up like paint and the floors upstairs creaked a lot. (Which made me nervous). The only problem we had was we didn’t get any parking passes. I was told there was some on the counter and when I called into the 1-800 # I was told the property manager would leave us some…. Which we never did receive.

The blue cottage
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage being close to the pool and beaches was such a convenience. The only issue we had was with the mattress on the king size bed it had a big dip on the side toward the bathroom. Everything else was great!

Great stay!
We loved our stay! House looks just as pictured on the site. Easy to communicate with property manager. Overall the property was well kept, just appeared to need a bit more cleaning from the crew. (Ex- floors needed mopping, a few dead bugs in the windows) overall though we had a great time & loved the house!!

Property was as described. Love the area lots of restaurants in the area. Only complaint upstairs door to the balcony door handle needs replaced front doo hard to lock from the outside. Dont understand the pool closing so early weve never had that at a vacation before.Overall stay was great would stay again.

Fine for long weekend
Perfect position for getting to the pool and hot tub! A few things missing that would have improved our stay: pot holders, a broom, bigger cookie sheet, mixing bowls. Also, the king mattress could use a foam topper or something to make it more comfortable!

Not Necessarily A Home Away
So I just want to say that this property was very clean and the check in process was extremely easy. However, communication with this property manager was poor. Over a month before our stay I sent messages via the app asking about how many towels were going to be available for use, whether or not there were laundry detergent packets available, and I asked about items in the kitchen that we would need to cook with because budget-wise going out to eat was not an option. Not one of those questions was answered. When we got there we realized there were minimal towels available, no laundry detergent, no dish soap, no sponge or brush to clean our dishes, and there were no spices and extremely basic minimal cookware to use. Also, given the pandemic situation we are in I expected to have cleaning supplies available. There were absolutely none. The purpose of a home away is not just to bypass hotels and stay in a home, but also to arrive in the home and not have to go buy dish soap and spices and cookware for the home we are only staying in for a short amount of time. We were not expecting to make those expenses and unfortunately there was nothing we could do about it except accept reality and head to the store. But it was very unfortunate because we had to skip an activity we previously planned because that money was used to buy things we never should have needed to buy in the first place. Definitely disappointed in our choice of lodging & none of us will be staying there ever again.

Clean and comfortable
Clean and comfortable. We came over to go scalloping and it was just a few minutes to the boat ramp. You can’t park right in front of the unit, but they had plenty of wagons to help haul your stuff. It was nice having the pool and hot tub right outside of the unit after being in the bay all day. Very quiet little community. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Overall a nice place to stay.
This property was nice. The only problem we had was that you can't park at the actual unit, you have to park in a parking lot and walk quite a ways to the unit. That is a pain when unloading and loading for a long trip. We also drive an electric car and were planning on plugging in at the house and were unable to because it is so far away from the parking area.

Beautiful area. Drove a few minutes to a prettier beach but it was still convenient to do so, and close proximity to the pool and hot tub made it a good location overall. Nice and clean

Wonderful location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The location is convenient to the surrounding areas and we were thankful that it was a gated community. Some of our neighbors were louder than others, the noise from the nearby road had us up early most days, and a couple of things were damaged: broken doorbell, loose kitchen faucet, and very old toaster, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our family vacation. We were locked out once, because the key lock can be difficult, but otherwise, the property was perfect.

Lovely cottage but needs some attention
We’ve stayed at this cottage once before and it is perfect location to the pool and hot tub! Beautiful decor and lower level has been updated due to I’m assuming hurricane water damage. It needs some attention though to a few things we found. The new flooring in living area has come up slightly leaving a “hump”. Dining table light did not work. Carpet upstairs needs a good cleaning or updated completely. Master bedroom bath toilet handle was broken and there is plywood under the mattress. The cottage is beautiful but the little things we encountered were aggravating.
