"This unique cottage in a quiet neighborhood provides a lovely view of the ocean with the calming sound of distant breakers. The double mattress is very soft, and we noticed a few ants in the kitchen but the home was otherwise clean and well equipped. A moderate walk (or short drive) down the hill takes you to a wonderful little cove with rocky outcrops to explore or just watch the waves crash for hours. Simply delightful."

"The location was great. I had to do some work, and the fast internet speed greatly helped. Great views from the top floor. It is as a bit cold, so we did not use the deck, but it would have been fun to use. The bushes have grown, so you can see the ocean from the deck and main floor. The hosts/property management is great to work with. Good communication. Overall, enioyed the stay."

"This amazing home is located off the beaten track but overlooks the beautiful Elk River. We came in July and couldn’t ask for better weather. There are a couple grocery stores and restaurants nearby that made getting necessities for my trip very convenient! The driveway up is not paved and a little rough. "From the moment we walked in and saw the ocean from our front door we said, " This is what we wanted at the coast.". We wanted to see and hear the waves, and we wanted to be able to walk from our guest house to the beach. We had both! The home was clean, well furnished, and provided us with everything we needed new, although an extra large knife would have been handy. We did miss having a" house book" but we did use the internet to find what we needed. We will definitely consider this home...

"First time visiting the Gold Beach area. The location is gorgeous. The house is right on the beach. Easy access to the beach from the house. The house is huge and has a great layout. The hot tub was a big bonus. The only complaints were little ones, such as the fan in bedroom didn’t work, the shower drain clogged, freezer was pretty dirty, otherwise, everything else was perfect. We would absolutely return to this rental in the future."

"My husband and our kids took a road trip out to OR where my Aunts lived. We wanted to spend part of the time at the coast and Rick's place was perfect! It had plenty of room to accommodate all of us and our dog. The property is very bright an only a short walk to the beach. I would highly recommend a stay at Pelican Nest!"
