The apartment is very well located, just a short, nice walk from the Botanical Garden (heads up: they charge 5 euros to enter) and a short walk to the center of the town and the Mercado da Graça (Farmer's Market). And La Gelateria, a really nice ice cream shop, is just around the corner, which could be a problem (just kidding!). The apartment itself is fine, but not perfect (what is?); we would be happier with a larger kitchen space since we do a lot of cooking, but we learned to manage. Unfortunately we did not get to use the patio, which looks nice, because it was raining pretty much every night and it was always wet (we were there end of November). Probably because of the time of year, too, the apartment benefits from a dehumidifier (there is one there, which gets filled up in just a couple of days).
One nice touch is the big (flat) TV and a house mobile phone for use in the area (it took me a while to figure out how to turn it on, though!). I even connected my laptop to the TV and, selecting HDMI2 as input, it worked flawlessly.
