Large Lodge in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho 8 bedrooms sleeps 35

This is a 6400-square-foot lodge a few miles outside the famous Lava Hot Springs. It has 5 master bedrooms with private bathrooms, as 1 bedroom without a bathroom attached. There are 2 large ā€œkid roomsā€ that are full of bunk beds. This home includes 2 gas ranges and 2 fridges. There are enough tables and chairs to seat around 40 people. Downstairs there is a 70-inch flat-screen TV, a pool table, a ping pong table, and foosball table. There is a large, beautiful master bathroom with a jetted tub and a stand-up shower. A 50-foot-long deck with a gorgeous view over the valley and the river.

Upstairs youā€™ll find a large room perfect for large gatherings. Along with the kitchen and master bedroom and bathroom.
Downstairs you will find the other 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and a large game/movie room. Please remember that this is not a hotel, we built this place for our family to use and decided to share it with you. Please do not abuse our home or the amenities we have provided.

You will have the entire place to yourself. This includes the large lodge, as well as the large parking lot, fire pit, and grill area which includes 2 grills, tables, and benches. You also have access to the 2 acres that are behind the house and youā€™re welcome to hike as far as you can see.

You will check yourself in and out via key code on the kitchen door. This code will be sent to you before arrival. Thank you!

Our family of nearly 40 has a wonderful time here from July 13-17, 2025. We especially loved the huge main room where we had our gatherings and even played lawn games. Plenty of space and so close to all the activities in town. The pool and ping pong tables could use updating. But other than that, this was an amazing experience. It's definitely on our list to do again.

Decent Stay

The property is in a great quiet location and it is a beautiful large home. The only downsides are, we felt there could be upgrades to a few of the things in the home and they werenā€™t exactly what we were expecting for the price that was paid. Along with the cleanliness. A cleaning fee was paid but there were quite a few areas that seemed to be missed in the cleaning process in multiple rooms and bathrooms, which was disappointing. I would suggest this home for any large groups.

We enjoyed staying at the Frandsen lodge for the second time. It works so well for us. Our only minor issue this year was that the beds in the two kids rooms had been changed from what is on the website and we had to make some adjustments to our plans.

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay with the beautiful panoramic views and quiet, private neighborhood. There was more than enough adequate space for visiting and sleeping for our large group. (The two stoves were a little touchy and not super reliable so be aware and watch for the touchiness or your food won't cook properly). The children loved the slide on the back of the property. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We loved the spaciousness of the whole house. The kitchen was so well organized (labeled) and supplied. If we needed it, it was there. The number of bedrooms and baths was amazing. Sitting up on a hill, the view is beautiful. Our family loved it and said theyā€™d like to go back there again.

There was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to connect to the TV downstairs to show family videos from our phones. Some of the bedding wasn't clean, a sheet and 2 covers. The highchairs were great to use, but it would have been nice if a pack n play was provided.

Incredible Place!

We could not have been more impressed with this stay! We had a large group of adults and teenagers and everyone loved the place. The open space, the entertainment options, the kitchen set-up & supplies, the extra tables & chairs, so many couches and places to sit were awesome! Plus they had an emergency kit and medicine available. The bedrooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and having so many bathrooms was incredibly nice. The communication with the with property manager was very timely and helpful. They were even willing to let us change the weekend to a different one, when we found out a scheduling conflict. The Wi-Fi was great and the clean-up/check-out process was very organized and easy. We have so many positive things to say about this place and would 10/10 recommend to everyone!

We were surprised and thrilled with the open space for everyone to gather. Plenty of tables, chairs, cooking equipment, bedrooms, bathrooms, everthing you might need. Very comfortable. It was really perfect! Close to Lava Hot Springs and the river float, yet away from the crowds. Great view of the valley.

It was very spacious and enjoyable to be in. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was very nice & roomy. The property was out of the way of traffic & people which was great, but not so far out of Lava, that we had to drive a long ways to swim and float. I liked the wooden floor in the center for eating and then we moved the chairs & tables back and all sat around the wooden floor to have our activities, and programs and that was great. Some of the problems are: One of the taps in the tub was a bit funky and probably needs some attention and fixing. (NE Bathroom in basement) Another bathroom seemed to have a wet mat even the next morning after it hand over the tub to dry, so there could be a little leak (SW bathroom in basement) The two different families in the bedrooms with wooden log sides and headboard & footboard weren't too happy! The log set up is pretty and the bed itself was comfortable but those logs on the side, are very, very uncomfortable to get in and out of the bed. It is scratchy and hurts your body trying to climb over the logs. They are also a safety risk for middle age adults and older adults trying to maneuver over the logs and falling and losing your balance, as you're trying to keep from getting all scratched up. The families said, they really think the owners need to replace these log beds with just a plain queen base. Some of the walkways are pretty uneven and could cause people to stubble & fall easily.
