Charming cabin on Lower Grand River — Bayou Pigeon, Louisiana

This fully renovated, private cabin on Lower Grand River in Bayou Pigeon, approximately 40 miles south of Baton Rouge, features 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a screened porch and an open floor plan living area. Fish right off the dock in the backyard, clean your catch and cook a fresh meal on the grill for the whole family to enjoy. A short drive to several south Louisiana landmarks, including Nottoway Plantation, Belle River, the “smallest Catholic Church in the world, ” the Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum, restaurants and more.

Family Vacation
We absolutely loved the property, my husband caught several big catfish, my son caught a Gar, and the little boys named the Gator that hung out back. We loved the seafood restaurant down the road! Overall everything was perfect! The Stampers from KY.

Bayou paradise
Want an escape from the hustle and bustle? This is the place for it. It's calm, relaxing and peaceful. Sitting on the porch at night listening to all the critters after a day of fishing soathes the soul.

The Cajun cabin was an absolute dream. We were so sad to leave but we will be back for a longer stay. Absolutely the best Cajun Christmas with quiet, peace and serenity. Beautiful wildlife, and fishing which brought my husband and I back to our childhood. The best Christmas ever!!!

Connecting with Nature - Serenity on the Bayou
The three of us totally enjoyed our stay in this pristine two-bedroom, two-bath home. Full of Louisiana bayou touches, the interior is beautiful, with a comfortable living room, modern kitchen, and great bathrooms. Starting our day with coffee on the large screened-in porch, we were treated to an array of birdcalls and a lovely sunrise over the water. In the evenings, owls called to one another from the trees while I was grilling our dinner on the Weber gas grill. Highly recommend this property for those seeking relaxation and serenity. For me, it was the perfect antidote to the bustle and noise of city life. Enjoy!

Cabin on the River
The property was everything advertised and more. We enjoyed being away from the business of Baton Rouge and out away from everyone. The fishing dock was a great place to relax after days out in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. It was nice to come back and relax under the stars and listen to the sounds on the river. The cabin was very clean and we didn't have a need for anything. Plenty of blankets, dishes, etc. Screened in porch was very nice. It rained a couple days of our trip and there was no issues getting in and out of the property and with the big covered front porch, you weren't in the rain at all getting in and out of the vehicle. I would recommend this cabin to anybody wanting to stay outside of town. It is a little drive to Baton Rouge and New Orleans, but a peaceful drive with draw bridges, ferrys and great scenery. Best of the woods in Louisiana. I encourage anybody to rent this cabin. The communication was great and it was easy to check in and out. Amazing place. We will be back many times.

We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with a nice, quiet and relaxing weekend. The cabin was so cute with all the decorations, super clean and it had everything we needed. Thanks for opening your cabin for others to enjoy! We plan on visiting again!

Great getaway cabin
Beautiful cabin and dock right on the water; was the perfect location to relax away from the city. The screened-in porch allowed us to stay outside for most of the day, away from some of the heat. Hope to be back!

Bayou Pigeon weekend
Was in Louisiana to move my daughter into her dorm at LSU. We have regularly stayed between Baton Rouge and New Orleans over the past 16 months, 3 trips, so we could visit LSU and Bourbon St with about the same travel distance. It was my goal to make it to Pierre Part to see if I could get a glimpse of Troy Landry, king of the swamp. When I spoke to Rick I found out that his family was related, what was the chances of that! Rick was extremely hospitable and the property was everything that it was posted to be. Rick went out of his way to help me with anything that I had questions on in the area even though he was on vacation somewhere himself. Property was awesome. My son fished on the dock, alligators swam by and boaters were very nice as well waving and wishing us a good day. The "camp" is very nice on the inside and with it being 100+ degrees daily I was worried being a "camp" how warm it would end up being. That house was so comfortable and with the back screened porch having two fans it provided my wife a place to work on the computer while we stayed cool and watch T.V. We hope to be back over the course of my daughters stay at LSU and the Phillips camp is definitely on our list of places to return to.

Perfect for the family
When we arrived we immediately noticed the attention to every detail. This place is stocked with all the amenities. Everything is great quality and very very clean. The whole family enjoyed the screened in porch, bug free! We also watched all of the wildlife. It was a beautiful stray!

Louisiana nature at its best
It was beautiful Louisiana scenery. An owl came for a visit Saturday morning while we were drinking coffee on the swing. Amazing experience. Caught a few small catfish. Enjoyed the Father’s Day weekend.

Our Perfect Paradise
On this our 28th wedding , my husband and I wanted to try new things. This house was our perfect paradise. We wanted to see wildlife and were not disappointed. This home is romantically cozy and so relaxing you feel like your at home. The owner provides everything you need to relax and find the true meaning of peace. We can't wait to visit our home away from home again.

Great Place to experience Louisiana
The cabin was perfect. Nice and clean , very comfortable. (comfy bed) Loved the dock. Enjoyed sitting out there on the water. Also, had a great set of books to get the local history. We went on a swamp tour, that was right down the road, Visited a plantation , and made it out to New Orleans to get some flavor. Overall experience was great. Would definitely recommend it .
