Calypso Cottage offers Direct Gulf Front access and views of a lifetime. Are you ready for 'toes in the sand and a drink in your hand'? Well, we have just the right place to take a break from it all. CALYPSO COTTAGE is a tropically styled 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom direct beach/gulf front single-family home. The open floor plan allows for breathtakingly scenic viewing from the kitchen, dining and living space. Wake up to peaceful views of the Gulf from the main bedroom. The sliders open to warm breezes, amazing sunsets and the BEACH right beneath you. Comfortable furnishings both inside and out. Take a dip in the Gulf, go shelling and stroll for miles along the pristine shoreline of Little Gasparilla Island. This well appointed beach cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway, a small family or 2 couples. Maximum occupancy is 4. Pets are considered with approval and additional fee.
Please note: THIS IS A BOAT ONLY ACCESS ISLAND. You will need to park at the marina and take the water taxi over to the island at an additional fee.
A Golf Cart is NOT included with this property. Golf Cart rentals must be approved prior to check in. If approved, caution must be taken to drive on the designated path as it is not safe to walk/drive over the septic tank.

Bringing your own boat? A dock fee of $100 is required. To be paid after your reservation has been booked.
Prefer to bring your own BOAT? Maximum length is 23 feet at the shared dock.

Pets require OWNER APPROVAL. Additional fee of $150 plus tax per pet. Breed and size limits apply.


Amenities: AC, Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, outdoor shower, Charcoal Grill (please bring you own charcoal) and in the kitchen you will find a CONVECTION -MICROWAVE oven. There is not a full sized oven.

Please note rates are subject to 12% tax, cleaning and reservation fee.

$500.00 Refundable Security Deposit also required.

Perfect Mini Vacation
You really cannot go wrong with this sweet little cottage, perfect size, perfect location, perfect get away. The sand is so powdery soft, the water incredibly clear. Waves are just right, you get the sound but not “beat up” while swimming. If you have little ones this is perfect! If you’re looking for an action packed area this is not what you are looking for but if you’re looking for quiet and relaxing this IS it. Blissfully relaxing and quiet. Read the fine print in the ad, there are no cars on the island and is only accessible by water taxi.

Perfect Placement
If the house were any closer to the water it would be in the ocean. Lovely, comfortable deck - perfect to watch the waves and sunbathe in the afternoons. Property Mgr was quite attentive and called to check on us during a thunderstorm. When trying to figure out the kitchen situation, we were NOT told about the induction cook top surface with 4 burners. This info needs to be added to the description. Makes it much easier for meal planning.

NO CLOSETS! HAD TO HANG CLOTHERS IN THE BATHROOM./ INTERNET DID NOT WORK/ NO TV!/ NO DVD/ NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL AV EQUIPMENT/ NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR COOK TOP/ TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS SHOULD BE MORE PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED ON LISTING. OTHER THAN THAT THE COTTAGE AND THE BEACH WERE WONDERFUL!

Calypso cottage was perfect
Perfect getaway, with nothing but beach and the gulf, had minor red tide one day when the wind shifted but was perfect the rest of the time. House was small but perfect for a family of four. Cooked on the grill and stove. Had enough food and water for the week. Bought drinking water because of the taste of water on the island. Local Pizza was awesome. Rented a boat for a few days to up and down the intercoastal and out to the gulf. Highly recommend for people that’s just want to get away from it all.

A Precious, Serene Piece of Heaven
This property is terrific. It is a clean, well furnished cottage with all of the necessary accommodations for a most enjoyable respite. The photos are accurate. It is ON THE BEACH. Sitting on the covered front porch, I was 100 feet from the surf, depending on the tides! I would never want to own this cottage, but I would rent it as often as I could. It is "a bucket list" experience. Simply put, don't miss the opportunity to rent this cottage and spend some time closer to the ocean than you will ever find elsewhere! This cottage furnished all the comforts necessary to make our stay a truly memorable experience!

Ouch my head!!
Let me start by saying we made the best out of it! We received a call from LGI golf cart rental while we were on the way saying we wouldn't be able to rent the golf cart and it might be Tuesday before we could get one! We arrived and had to load all of our belongings into a buggy and walk to the house. We get there and find the owner of the house behind us had locked us out, not once but 3 times! We were able to get the cart on Sunday and were told not to drive around the island don't drive through water and he charged us $100 more than the quoted price and less 1 day!! I hit my head 3 times going out to the beach from the low hanging beams under the house, the last time I was knocked to the ground! There is no oven for cooking and no closets! The grill wouldn't work the last night and we had to ask a neighbor if we could grill our hamburgers on the their grill! Never again will I ever rent from Tarpon Rentals!

Terrific beach home
The property was wonderful- exactly as advertised . The inside has a great beach vibe and is clean and lovely. The location is ideal and so easy to enjoy. I would come back in a heartbeat. The property managers were very responsive to our needs. They brought us better beach chairs when asked and were quick to answer any questions Be aware that you have to get all your groceries ahead of time but there is a grocery store in the same shopping center where you pick up your keys so that is easy. Also make sure you get both a water taxi reservation and a golf taxi reservation on the island when you arrive. There is no way you can carry all your luggage and groceries to the property without it. The dock is on the inter coastal waterway and the property on the gulf side. It’s a quick walk with no luggage. I highly recommend this property!
