So much potential
We came for a weekend stay to attend a concert at Tanglewood. Upon arrival, we saw a lot of construction materials in the yard including a saw and piles of materials. The grounds were not well maintained. Check-in was easy enough but when we got into the apartment, we noted that it had not been cleaned. Food crumbs on the floors, unclean bathroom, particularly the shower (which was so dirty we had to bleach it ourselves. We also noted that one of the exit ways was cluttered which could have been a fire hazard. While the apartment slept 6, it only had one working shower; the master bathroom shower was inoperative (and appears to have been so for a long time) and this was not disclosed before we arrived. We did mention to the owner about the cleanliness while we were on-site and they said they would clean but that didn't happen. They offered to provide a refund of the cleaning fee and a token payment for our incovenience but given the overall cost of this property, that was small consolation. It's over a month now and they still haven't refunded the cleaning fee or inconvenience amount.
On the positive side, the beds were clean and very comfortable. It's too bad as this property has a lot of potential but until some very basic repairs, maintenance, and cleaning are done, as well as getting the second shower working, I wouldn't recommend it.
