Welcome to Chinquapin Cottage, a private Sutton Knob custom home, with features your entire group will love! Begin your vacation the moment you start to drive up the mountain, and enjoy beautiful far reaching peak-a-boo vistas around every turn. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, this high-end, pet-friendly home has a gravel driveway with ample parking space for 3 cars, plus a shed for storing your bikes or kayaks.  The main entrance of the home is accessible by 4 steps, which lead to a big covered front porch.  The entryway opens into the great room with vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, big front windows for natural light and mountain views, a wood-burning fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, a TV, and unique rustic touches. A half bath is located just off the entryway.  The dining area is off the living room and has a table with spaces for 8.  The thoughtfully equipped kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a standard coffee pot, a Keurig, and all the dishes, pots, and pans guests will need to create meals for their group.

The primary bedroom in Chinquapin Cottage is located on the main level of the home, just off the great room.  The room is complete with a King-sized bed, a second TV, and an ensuite primary bathroom with dual sinks, a luxurious soaking tub, and a custom-tiled shower.

The upper level of Chinquapin Cottage is home to two additional bedrooms and bathrooms.  Bedroom 2 boasts a Queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a single sink and shower.  Bedroom 3 is home to two Full-sized beds and another ensuite bathroom with a single sink and shower.

Chinquapin Cottage guests can soak up the outdoors, without even leaving!  Enjoy morning coffee or tea from the cozy screened-in porch, while soaking up the mountain views.  Or cookout with the gas grill on the small porch off the kitchen and enjoy the evening breeze. The outdoor fireplace on the screened-in porch is perfect for toasting S'mores after your evening meal!   As guests of the Sutton Knob community, Chinquapin Cottage guests enjoy shared access to the green space within the community, which showcases the natural beauty Transylvania County offers.  Scenic hiking trails within the development allow guests the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the outdoor experience and enjoy the views of the nearby Pisgah National Forest. The Meadows boasts two ponds, streams, and small waterfalls.  The community pavilion and firepit are also available to guests of the Chinquapin Cottage!
