I chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday and expected a high-quality experience given the âŹ1000 per night rate, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
Booking Issues:
Before arrival, I emailed multiple times to confirm my spa appointment but received no resolution. Despite providing screenshots and all the necessary details, they couldnât locate my booking. On the way to the hotel, I had to call, only to be hung up on after a 10-minute wait. When I called again, they finally found my booking, but this unnecessary stress was not how I wanted to start my special day.
Welcome Drinks and Check-in:
The check-in process was strange and inefficient. We were directed to the bar for welcome drinks and had to return to pick up our room key. Why not give the keys while we wait for the drinks? Also, they didnât ask about allergies. The welcome drink contained grapes, which weâre allergic to, and this lack of attention to detail was disappointing.
Spa and Facilities:
The spa treatments are overpriced for what you get. While the cigar lounge is good, the food is average, and the breakfast is very basicânot what youâd expect from a luxury hotel.
Staff and Service:
The staffâs level of English is very poor, and instead of being helpful when they donât understand, they often become rude and arrogant. This attitude made the overall experience uncomfortable and far from welcoming.
