"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."

"We booked this home as a place to stay for 2 nights while attending a festival in nearby Floyd VA, but the remnants of hurricane Helene hit on arrival day. We had to postpone our arrival and, without even asking, Kelly our host immediately gave us a refund. "Our family of 4 had a nice stay at this country house with modern touches. The host was extremely responsive and I received check-in info days before which was a stress reliever. We saw groundhogs and so many deer. It was sweet slowing down and being in nature. The house had everything we needed: Keurig and coffee, hairdryer, linens, towels etc."

"We stayed at this cottage for my sons State swim meet at the aquatic center in Christiansburg. It was only 3 minutes away and couldn't have been better. The house was perfect. We weren't there much due to swimming, the fridge was perfect for us, but if you need to have a regular size fridge, this cottage has a mini fridge. The Cinnamon muffins and personalized card were also amazing. I only wish we had found this place sooner, as my son is moving up and we don't swim there anymore, but if...

"Overall the property meet expectations. The home was clean and well put together. Hot tub was clean and fully functional. Fishing was good and easy with a spacious dock. The driveway is steep with limited turn around space but other than that no issues."

"We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter's graduation from VCOM. We rented both Claytor Escape and Green Cape Cottage. We enjoyed the kayak, paddle boards and swimming off the dock. The house was clean and well-stocked. Check in was easy and the host was very responsive. And - the front porch of Claytor Escape is wonderful!"

"Very nicely renovated single wide trailer. No detail was overlooked in the renovation and decorating. High end cabinets, flooring, great lighting, and even an iPhone charger was appreciated. For the area, it’s a little expensive compared to other rentals in MOD. Private setting, although there was some traffic coming through the shared driveway. It was very clean but I did find a few false eyelashes throughout the home and the fridge didn’t look like it had been wiped out. I would visit more...
