"We spent a week staying at Villa Laruga, Argegno, on Lake Como. The Villa is only approximately 1.2 km walk from the Argegno, where there is a ferry stop and restaurants. From here we caught ferries around the lake to various villages and gardens, they were beautiful. However, the highlight of our stay was the villa with its beautiful garden, set right on the lake & constantly changing vistas over the lake. How often do you get to stay in a villa on Lake Como? "Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!"

"This on a very steep hill next to a restaurant. The little village is very cute and you feel part of the community. It is fun to walk around the paths between the homes and explore. Everything is on a hill so be prepared to walk an incline coming or going. As for the home, the grounds are beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking.
