"This was a much needed break. Although it was quick it was exactly what we needed. The house is perfect for going and exploring the area and outdoors. If you are going to sit inside of the house and be pampered this is not the house for you but then again you probably aren't looking for that if you are here. Fishing off the dock provided small baitfish in an abundance unfortunately nothing more than that but wife and kids had a blast. Lots of deer especially in the morning. Overall great...

" The Hideaway literally lives up to its name. It took a couple of calls to the property management company to help us find the Hideaway. "We had a quick stay and mainly used the property to sleep and shower. It was in a lovely secluded place, very quiet!! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy it. Only thing I would suggest is that they clean the cobwebs out of the bathroom and the windows. Everything else was very clean!"

"If you are looking for a quiet, slow weekend with the most beautiful scenery, this is it! "W the welcoming calls of loons from crystal clear Grand Portage Lake. What a wonderful stay! The cottage was beautifully appointed. The ample outside spaces provided postcard views. Located close to grocery, downtown restaurants and the Heart of Vilas bike trail head, we could not have enjoyed our stay more and look forward to our visiting again soon."

"The house was very well stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of paper products including toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. There were areas of the house that could have been cleaned better. The kids enjoyed the lake swimming, kayaking, and fishing. They were able to catch fish right from the dock. Location is secluded but yet close to many things to do. "
