"We enjoyed our stay very much! The property was a little difficult to locate, as it was through a gate at the back of the property. We ended up arriving in the dark at night and found ourselves down the wrong driveway, but once we saw the Vacasa sign, the location became evident."

"We came to Petrolia for a couple of days on a road trip up the coast and had a great time. The kitchen was very well-equipped and bedrooms were comfortable for our party of 6. The orchard was also really lovely! The house is just a few minutes from Mattole Beach on the one side and the general store/‘downtown’ on the other. Great place to stay on the lost coast!"

"The Library is in a beautiful, bucolic setting on the outskirts of Ferndale. We enjoyed being in the dairy district, with cows munching the pasture grass right outside the kitchen window. The high ceilings, the 3,000 books, the abundant daylight, and the quiet of the location "outside" of town added to the delightful stay we enjoyed."

"As good as it gets. The only issue was the fire siren going off from the public safety building nearby in the early hours of the Friday morning! But after a half-dozen 'blasts' it stopped and we went back to sleep-no harm done-just a surprise!"

"Our family really enjoyed our stay out in rural Ferndale. The house has been nicely updated but retains its historic charm. It was well stocked in and we appreciated all of the amenities for kids: high chair, small folding toddler table and chairs, kids dishes, and toys in the kids room. Our extended family of 4 adults and 4 kids ages 2 - 10 were all very comfortable! Loved seeing the sweet cows, deer, ducks, and chickens on our drive in. Absolutely picturesque!"

"We have visited Ferndale many times. Our parents were both born here after their parents came from Denmark in 1894. We have a dear friend and 2 second cousins who’ve lived here all their lives. On other trips, we’ve stayed in the hotels and/or other VRBOs. This one is one we’ll use again!! The host was attentive and responded quickly to our inquiries, the home was spacious, clean and close to town, comfortable. We even had our friend and cousin meet us there for a meal because it was so well...
