Located within a stunning 20 acre equestrian property The Gatehouse is a single level home welcoming 8 guests in 4 bedrooms.
The 2 master bedrooms have generous fitted wardrobes, dressing table, Queen beds and large en-suite with bath and shower.
The 3rd bedroom has queen bed, fitted wardrobe and the fourth bedroom has 2 single and fitted wardrobe.
The third bathroom has shower and toilet facilities
Large family kitchen/dining and open plan sitting room.
Double garage and ample parking area

Family vacation
This property had the wow factor!! Very clean, tidy and cozy, and just all round beautiful! Kitchen fully stocked and functional to cook up a storm for the family. Kids loved walking around looking at the horses. Wish we had stayed a bit longer! Would definitely stay again!

a reunion and recharging gatehouse
Freida is a friendly and kind host, making our stay at this homestay a wonderful experience. This place offers great privacy and is perfect for a group of 8 family members or friends who want to 'recharge' and find peace. We had a wonderful and relaxing time and really 'recharged' our energy. My family and friend also enjoyed the walks and sightseeing around the gatehouse. We look forward to staying here again when we visit. Your hospitality made our stay even more special.

Most wonderful and well presented property and the hosts are even better
Right from the moment that you are greeted at the gates of the beautiful property, you are made to feel very welcomed and the effort of the hosts providing comfort items like cheese and crackers - milk and bread - coffee etc are outstanding The rooms are incredibly spacious and well laid out and the bedding is extremely comfortable A great place to stay for any occasion and a MUST return for my next long stay in Perth

Mahjong Getaway
We four retired ladies meet up in different Australian locations usually once a year and stay for 4 or 5 days in a comfortable location to play mahjong. We have been doing this for over 20 years. This year we stayed at The Gatehouse and we all agreed it was the most beautiful and well apppointed place we have stayed in. Not only was it very well equipped with everything we could possibly need but a card table was also provided on request. The furnishings and linen were top quality, as was the location surrounded by horses and grape vines. It was a hugely relaxing place to stay and we would all thoroughly recommend it.

Throughly enjoyed our stay, place was perfect for our family, very clean, secure and quiet. Cooked every day while the kids enjoyed watching horse and the 2 dogs. Loved the big compound with the trees and sounds of birds in the morning. Thank you Freida.

Amazing - Want to stay again
The property was beautiful, better than advertised. Comfy beds, kitchen had everything needed to cook, plenty of room for the extended family. The host was amazing, they were flexible & offered alternate check in options after flight disruptions made us late. The host went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely stay again if we return to Perth & would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a more personal style of accommodation.

Gatehouse - just great!
Lovely house set in a peaceful location. Frieda made us feel very welcome on arrival and provided some nice touches with some lovely goodies waiting for us. Very well maintained house and gardens and a great outlook on to the dressage/riding area. Thank you!

girls weekend away
lovely property with plenty of room and the facilities were excellent, as older ladies, we found the baths too high to comfortably get in and out of. Though the air conditioning was available throughout the house, it was hard to evenly control the temperature throughout the house, so some rooms were cold whilst others were quite warm. It would have been nice to have some lighter temperature doonas, as the ones provided were way too hot. Sorry for the complaints as the house was really lovely and so were the doggies who greeted us each day.

Daughters wedding.
This was a fantastic, beautiful property to stay at and prepare for my daughters wedding. Peaceful and relaxing which helped with the bride-to-be's nerves. Plenty of room and comfort for the brides wedding preparations. I highly recommend The Gatehouse to anyone looking for a beautiful house set in fantastic surroundings with lovely friendly hosts. We had an absolutely fabulous stay at this amazing property. The accommodation was amazing - spacious, clean and comfortable. Freida the host was very welcoming and left bread, milk, cheeses etc, for us to use. The house had everything we could possibly need. The communication and check-in was very friendly and easy. Lovely stay, highly recommended!
Our group consists of 4 adults, 1 senior and 2 kids (4 & 6YO. We had a lovely stay at the place and picture so no justice to how lovely the place looks! The rooms are clean and well equipped. The surrounding is a lovely horse stable with beautiful horses that we got to look at and interact with. We spend one morning walking around the area before our planned activities and met their cute dogs and horse and also chat up with the nice people that work around the stable. My husband and brother-in-law also spend an evening jogging around the property. The lovely view makes the jog a very enjoyable one. Over all we must say that this is our best stay in swan so far having been our 3rd time in Perth and we definitely look forward to coming back again in the future. Thank you for the lovely stay! We look forward to being there again!

Great Experience !
I agreed fully with all the previous reviewers on their experience staying in this nice property - the quality of the furnishing, complete kitchen facility and comfort of the house is more than what the pictures are able to show. You have to come into the house to appreciate it! All 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 young children (6 & 9 yo) had a great experience staying in this property for 5 nights which we wish we could stay longer. With the complete full sets of kitchen utensils, we cooked every dinner on our own and enjoyed our family time together with the food + wine. We jogged / walked around the scenic property every morning (greeted by the friendly dogs & horses) before moving out for our planned activities and always looking forward to coming back to the house at the early evening for a good rest and family time. We enjoyed the short conversation with the property owner Frieda too - it was nice to learn about the history of the property and the meaning of the town (Brigadoon). On the very last day as we had an early morning flight to catch, we were trying our very best to clean up the kitchen, tidy up the place and clear all the trashes hopefully the Gatehouse can be maintained as good as always so that more people can come to enjoy with its current condition. Thank you, Frieda!
