Waters Edge

Waters Edge is a custom house built specifically for entertaining guests for a truly memorable vacation with family or friends.
The house is a open floor plan that flows from the beautiful interior to the amazing exterior and surrounding waterfront.
I created this home for a truly wonderful guest experience. This home is what I have learned during the last 10 years with owning 3 other vacation rentals and managing other properties and I placed it all into this magnificent home.
The home consists of 5,000 sqft of interior space and 1200 sqft of cover porch space along with 800 sqft of sun deck area with a heated pool, plus 1200 sqft of brick patio with a hot tub.

Pool is normally opened mid May and closes in September, all depends on the weather.
Hot Tub is open year round.

*** Listing price is for 8 guests in 4 of the bedrooms. These bedrooms include: First Floor Master, Two Basement Bedrooms and The Loft Bedroom.

There’s an additional fee of $1000 during peak season while the pool is open and $600 in off season when pool is closed. If you choose to have all 7 bedrooms and want to bring more than 8 guests, which brings your total guest amount to 16. The house and property is designed for a maximum occupancy of 16 including any guests that you may have stop over during the day.
Please let me know if you need all 7 bedrooms even if you only have 8 guests. So an additional payment request can be taken care of through the site.

Return Holiday
This is our second stay in this home and we hope to continue the tradition every year. As always, Brian was extremely accommodating and communicative. Our family loves the view, the cleanliness, the space, the layout, and of course, the hot tub. The house is absolutely beautiful and spacious enough for everyone. Our visits to Water’s Edge are always relaxing and rejuvenating!

Great stay!!!
We rented watersedge for a family getaway. We had 14 people total including 5 children ranging from 8 weeks to 6 years old. The house was very nice, the kitchen was amazing for cooking large dinners and well stocked with dishes and utensils, the river was beautiful and the hot tub was a lot of fun in the snow. Brian was very hospitable and communication was excellent. We got close to 6” of snow while we were there and Brian was there to plow and clear the walkways quickly. We would definitely recommend this rental and hope to stay there in the warmer months to enjoy the pool!

Amazing New Year Vacation!!!
This is the most beautiful house we’ve stayed in, with an amazing view of the river and surrounding landscape.We loved playing pool, chilling in the hot tub and waiting for the train to come, playing basketball, and making a nice fire to toast marshmallows and look at the stars.Brian is an amazing host, he is very kind and was always available to help us and answer all of our questions. It is clear that he put a lot of love and effort into this house, and as a result we had a great time and made great memories.

Hidden Gem
13 of us from our extended family stay here annually for a few years now. We love it and it's a hidden gem not too far from home. Plenty of outdoorsy activities, room to play for lots of kids, and the owner is great. I almost don't want to leave a good review so we can keep it our little secret (it's that awesome). You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Family Thanksgiving Fun at the lake
First stay at Waters Edge did NOT disappoint. So blessed to celebrate an early Family-giving (Taco Tuesday really) with our adult kids and extended family. Everyone had the same response upon entering....WOW! Open concept living room/dining room/kitchen plus large outdoor living space were ample space for all. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our group but look forward to renting all 7 when the pool is open. House, furniture, amenities are all relatively new and in great shape. 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, huge fridge, ice maker and GI-NORMOUS dining room table with room for 16 and amazing views of Lake Aldred! Pool table, hot tub, basketball court, play set, outdoor bar/tv made for lots of fun. Brian and Karen are the A Team of Hosts and highly recommend. Til next time Pequea!

Beautiful home. We all had plenty of room, 12 total. Very clean. Accurate to pictures on site. Very easy check in, and Brian was very helpful showing us the house. We all loved our stay. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous over the lake view.

Family Reunion
Brian was a wonderful host - responding quickly to a questions/issues we had. The house was lovely - very spacious and well kept - with a beautiful view of the lake. Iht should be noted that there is a railroad track that runs along the back of the property - which you can hear throughout the night, if you are a lighter sleeper. Highly recommended.

Surprises!
Our stay included 11 adults. Plenty of room and loved the dining table to fit all. Nicely appointed kitchen (cabinet labels would have been nice) and bathrooms (loved the rainshowers), gameroom and extra amenities. Very pretty view of the river and wildlife that lives there. Nice quiet area, however let's talk about the elephant in the room. And for some reason never gets covered in the description of the property or appears in ANY reviews. Trains! When asked about them, was told only 4 or 5 in late afternoon and early evening. The reality: there were 11 trains that passed (just 25 feet from the deck) in the first 24 hours of our stay, between the hours of 4 pm and 6:30 am. 12+ hours of rattling, vibrating, awakening, startling noise. Some trains took as long as 8 minutes to clear. Over 100 cars. Sounds like fun to watch, but wreaks havoc if you like your sleep. I would think it would be a safety hazzard for small children playing in the yard since the only warning is the oncoming vibration. On subsequent days there were anywhere from 6 to 12 trains per day, most at night. Our stay included weekdays and a weekend. If you are a train enthusiast, this is the place for you. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs and a loud noise canceling machine. In addition, when I booked this property on vrbo for (clearly) 11 people, apparently the fee is only for up to 8 people. Be wary. The owner offered to cancel our reservation if we didn't agree to additional fees.

Immaculate Tastefully Decorated Home
Brian has done a wonderful job with his home. All rooms are large, immaculate and nicely decorated. Comfortable mattresses, well stocked kitchen, commercial huge refrigerator, full freezer, even an ice maker. You want for nothing in this home. We were also pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the area. My family has been going on a fall family weekends since 2002. We have decided this is the best home to date. We'll see you again next year.

Peaceful tranquility
Our stay was lovely. The property and home were perfect! The train passed by 1 time per day in the morning and we were all so excited. The train passed by 4-5 times at night but no guests were bothered. We never left the home after we arrived doing all of our cooking on site and at the grill. We were so impressed that we are staying there again next summer!

My siblings, myself, and our families take a vacation together every year, and this year we came to Waters Edge. We had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful with everything you could need. Every detail is thought of and you can tell the house was built for vacationers. We are a group of six adults and seven kids ranging from two years old to eight. Since we've started doing this trip, we have gone to a new house in a new place every year. Now that we found Waters Edge, we'll be staying there again next year. It really checks all of our boxes! I have been staying in vacation homes for 20 years and this is one of my absolute favorites. Brian was gracious and accommodating. My son mistakenly left behind his blankie and Brian found it and mailed it to us! He even tried to turn me down for reimbursing postage, but I insisted. It is evident that Brian takes pride in providing a great experience for his guests. Waters Edge is highly recommended. ***And if you go, be sure to check out Pine View Dairy, about 15 minutes away. They have the best homemade ice cream I've ever had.

We arrived on Sunday evening, the host met us there and gave a tour of the house showing us the amenities. The house is exactly as shown in the listing if not better. we had an issue with the freezer, Brian the host was there in minutes. The view from the deck was awesome, there is a kicker BT on the deck. The Host comes and cleans the pool every morning. I Can't say enough about our stay and the friendliness and attention of our host Brian. We had a great time and are considering going again next year.

Great rental home and location
The house is the nicest house we have rented in our 40 plus years of renting vacation homes. It is extremely well equipped to handle a large family/group. Brian the host was very helpful in making our stay great. There are several walking trails nearby, used the river/lake for our kayaks, easy access to antique stores, Strasburg and other shopping areas. The on site swimming pool was great. One of the best vacations we have ever taken.
