Work trip

2nd time staying here and I love it. The calm and clarity I get by staying here is a nice break away from home. The house is always super clean. My dog loves the fenced in yard and I love the hot tub. This is my go to spot whenever I visit Brevard for work.

Short weekend stay

My boyfriend and his parents stayed here for a trail run we had in town. We all thought the protest was exactly as it shows online. It was clean and easy to get in and out of. Very close to the town and would definitely recommend. Will stay here again when coming back to town! Only thing we would mention, was that outside by the fenced in portion, thereā€™s no lights (like a flood light) so taking the dog out to the bathroom at night we used our phone flash light. Could be beneficial to add in a small outdoor light if possible. Really enjoyed our stay!

Outdoor retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Pisgah Shadows Cottage. Everything was as described and better. The neighborhood was quiet and close to DuPont State Park & other parks. The fenced in area was great for our dog. We would stay again when we visit the area.

Highly Recommend Pisgah Shadows

We had an amazing stay at Pisgah Shadows! The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing week. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials and the small details like the folded towel sets on the end of each bed was a nice touch. The hot tub was a huge plus and was clean and well maintained. We also loved the fully fenced yard, which was perfect for our dogs to run and play safely. The location was great. David and Darla were very responsive. Check out Bear8.Com, they have a Sniff Spot that you can rent hourly to take your dog to run and play. We didn't get a chance this time but we will definitely give that a try next time. Overall, Pisgah Shadows exceeded our expectations, and we wouldnā€™t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Part of a Great Christmas

We chose this property based on its location and it exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of room; visiting family members commented on the open floor plan. The fenced side yard was a huge plus (it would be even better with a light for nighttime). Overall we were pleased with everything.

Wonderful Mountain getaway

The house was so comfortable and a perfect combo of what we needed. The dogs loved the fenced in back yard. We highly enjoyed the hot tub on cooler nights and the kitchen was so cute. The whole place was very clean and so easy to get in. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Location was ideal in quiet mountain neighborhood. House was clean and only one step to get inside, so very easy to unload and load up everything. Hot tub on back porch was easily accessible. Fenced yard was a bonus for our dog. Would rent again.

Ideal Mountain House

House was easy to find in the mountains in between Brevard and Hendersonville. Only one step at the front door, so easy to haul in all our travel necessities. Perfect side yard fenced for our senior dog with only a few steps out the side door. House was very clean with plenty of towels (although we bring our own!) and kitchen items. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub under the trees on the private back porch was a bonus. The neighborhood was very quiet. Would rent this ideal mountain house again.

Close to biking and hiking

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It is close to DuPont state forest where we spent most of our time hiking or biking. The hot tub was very nice in the evenings. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog.

Great place in a great location

We chose this property for a kid-free week while the children were at a nearby summer camp. The property itself is wonderful and features many updates, super comfortable beds, abundant towels and some nice touches that we happen to appreciate such as quiet-close toilets and an ice maker. And the hot tub is great for helping with the aches if you've overdone the hiking. The location is ideal for accessing all the waterfall hikes the region is known for, and there are ample choices for dining and entertainment within a 15-20 minute drive. We loved it and hope to be back!

Just as listedā€¦ā€¦ just not clean

The place looks just as it does in the pics, but was absolutely filthy upon check-in. Iā€™m not talking about a bit of dirtā€¦ Iā€™m talking about balls of dog hair in the corners, spilled, sticky stuff on the floor and hair all over the sheets (as if someone didnā€™t even change them). I spent the first full day cleaning the place and doing laundry. The owners did help with the cleaning fee after we checked out, but do feel they lacked some proactivity to fix the cleanliness issue. The kitchen was well stocked, and the amenities overall comfortable but be ready to not only remove sheets upon checkout but also do a load of laundry, wash, dry and store kitchen stuff and make the beds with ā€œcleanā€ sheets found in the closet.

Great Mountain Property

My husband and I were in town for a few days to attend a family funeral. We don't like staying in hotels so we found this property. It's right in the foothills of the mountain and has WONDERFUL views of the surrounding mountains. The house is very spacious for a family or a group of friends. We didn't have time to utilize the hot tub on the back porch but we wish we did. If we are back in the area again we would definitely book this property again.

Great house and property in quiet neighborhood

House was clean & comfortable. There is a hot tub but we didnā€™t use it because our parents live locally and we spent the days with them and just used the house for sleeping at night. The yard is securely fenced but If you have pets, bring a flashlight because there is literally no exterior lighting except for the front porch area. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. This house is great for pretty much anyone - couples, families, pets, etc.

Big, comfortable house in great location!

This property is conveniently located and certainly has all the amenities needed, including washer and dryer. I would highly recommend this home for groups larger than just 2 people as it had tons of space! Beautiful home, neighborhood, and yard, including fenced in space perfect for dogs. We didn't utilize the hot tub, but it certainly looked warm and inviting! Location perfect for access to Pisgah and Dupont and easy drives to Hendersonville and Brevard. Highly recommend!

Great place for our extended stay!

We stayed here for over a month while looking for our permanent home. We were very comfortable here. The neighborhood is very eclectic which we liked. We really like the location. We had our beloved family dog with us, so the fenced in side yard was perfect. The kitchen is small but nicely equipped. The enclosed porch on the back of the house was a great place for extra storage. The property manager (Bear 8 Rentals) was great to work with. We ended up extending our stay and moving to another property which they manage (Hilltop Cottage).
