Private, spectacular ocean vistas, swimming pool, EV charger !

Secluded and private, heavily wooded 4 acre mountainside property. SunRaven is restful and silent, but for the sound of the birds in the morning and the gentle winds in the towering fir, oak and arbutus forest.

The 1,500 square foot SunRaven villa was tastefully renovated in 2015 and offers three large bedrooms, each with queen-sized bed. One bedroom - the 'loft room' - also has a loft (7 feet up a ladder) with a play area and an additional queen sized mattress, ideal for children. A spacious, sun-lit bathroom has a large, walk-in shower. And you can prepare your meals in the well-equipped, kitchen or fire-up the barbecue on the balcony.

In 2020, SunRaven was fitted with a large roof-top solar array that provides all of the electrical power used annually, including a TESLA EV charger. The gas generator was replaced with an eco-friendly battery back-up system that guarantees back-up power under any circumstance.

Our south facing 60 foot balcony is sun-drenched from sunrise to sunset and offers breath-taking ocean views of the Gulf Islands and snow-capped Olympic Mountains. You can spend the day with a good book, or just watch the tidal ocean currents, the passage of sailboats and ferries, and the ever-changing hues of the wind on the water.

Our in-ground swimming pool with it's large sun deck is open June - September. Or enjoy a walk through our forested hillside.

When you're ready, Pender Island offers art galleries, local winery and cidery, bistros and restaurants, golf and disc golf. Or wildlife reserves, deserted beaches and beautiful forest hiking trails. Poet's Cove Marina Resort, whale watching, kayaking, artist studios and on Saturday, a Farmers' Market at the Community Center.

SunRaven is walking distance from the Otter Bay ferry terminal.

What A Wonderful Stay
It is difficult to express how pleasurable our experience was a Stephen's property. He was eminently welcoming, kind, thoughtful and accommodating. The home is even better in person than what the photographs portray. The view overlooking Otter Bay ferry terminal is wonderful. The swimming pool was ideal for the warm summer weather we were lucky to have during our stay. The kitchen was more than fully equipped. We cooked almost daily and never felt that we we lacking any utensil or appliance. The bathroom had a fantastic walk-in shower with great water pressure. The 3 bedrooms were super comfortable and provided us great sleep. The entire residence was so comfortable. Pender Island is an amazing place to decompress and soak in the Gulf Island lifestyle. This property made our experience memorable. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful Pender Island home
5 of us came over for a disc golf tournament on Pender Island and stayed at Stephen's beautiful home. It was clean, spacious and peaceful. The home has stunning artwork and comfortable furnishings throughout. The kitchen was very well appointed and the view was incredible. It really feels like a home and Stephen was a kind and accommodating host. We would highly recommend to anyone wanting to check out Pender Island. Thanks again, Stephen!

Summer getaway
It was a hot week during our stay! Pool was refreshing and the cool breeze at night was awesome. Property has an amazing ocean view from balcony, to watch the ferry boats come in. Great place for morning coffee and to star gaze at night.

Mini family vacation.
It was a family mini vacation. Grandparents, parents, and two children. Loved the swimming pool, it was a huge bonus on the hot afternoons after returning from exploring the island. Lots of space and well appointed. Awesome view of the water, great location. Stephen the host was on site and very friendly and responsive.

Wonderful stay on beautiful Pender Island
We had a fantastic two-night stay at Steve's property. I was hoping to show my parents - who were visiting BC from the UK - a true Gulf Islands experience, and this didn't disappoint! Steve's place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views out over the ocean, and gorgeous artwork spread throughout the property. Steve himself was great - on hand to greet us when we arrived and happy to promptly answer any questions we had. We had planned to go out for dinner on the second evening but after seeing the property, we decided to maximise our time there and stayed in, cooked dinner at home, played board games and then sat out on the balcony looking up at the spectacular night sky. A wonderful stay, our only regret was that we didn't book for longer!

Incredible Family Vacation Pad!
We couldn't have asked for more during our stay at Steve's place. Steve was such a welcoming and helpful host. The private pool was warm and was an amazing place to swim with my family! The kitchen is huge and well appointed, with brand new appliances and a fantastic BBQ. The views were spectacular and the home had a ton of space. We will definitely be back!

Best stay ever!
Steve’s home is a treasure. Gorgeous views, solid structure, decorated with personality and wonderful, wonderful art. Very clean throughout. Our group had 2 toddlers and 2 infants and they (and all their antics) were welcomed. We slept soundly. Enjoyed the pool immensely - clean and well balanced chemicals. We used it daily. Would love to stay again. Thanks Steve!

Amazing views and property
Couldn’t have asked for a better secluded gorgeous home and setting. Stephan was a great host knowledgeable and caring to our needs. The house was gorgeous and the pool was beautiful and private. 7 nights of bliss and peacefulness. Deer roamed in and out morning and dusk the view of the otter bay was perfection. There is a little tree house about 30 feet high we all enjoyed which was unexpected; saw a pod of orcas from the deck. All needs were close by within 10 minutes Linens were great, everything you could need was there. What an amazing trip. Thank you Steve likely to stay again

So wonderful once again!
This is our second year staying with Steve at SunRaven and we have already booked for next summer. Steve is so welcoming and helpful and place is so beautiful, clean, and fun. It has been maintained beautifully and feels like a home away from home! Our only regret was having to leave. Can't wait until next year already.

Views - both inside and out
Beautiful views of the forest and ocean. Inside the home: Beautiful views of art-filled walls. The large, lovely kitchen was a wonderful spot to congregate while the cook was cooking. Our kids loved the board games and cozy fire. Great spot overall!
