Spring Acre Log Cabin

In a beautiful country setting, this log cabin offers a relaxing atmosphere and tranquil setting next to many acres of woodland with hiking trails. Located only three miles from Historic Strasburg Pa. Very close attractions include, Strasburg Railroad, Sight and Sound Theater, American Music Theater, Tanger Outlets, and many thrift and antique shops.
Located in the heart of Amish country, there many places to experience the fine dining of many Amish recipes. To list a few, Katie's Kitchen, Diener's Restaurant, Agape Cafe and Grill and The Speckled Hen, just to name a few.
For a rainy day there is a pool table, air hockey table, dart board, exercise equipment, and many board games. Two large screen televisions with many movies to choose from. WIFI is not available at this time. we are trying to find a supplier that has signal in this area.

Wonderful in every way
Mr Ken was the most excellent host. He waited up late for our arrival to show us things about his house. He was so accommodating- even brought over his microwave when ours quit. He is on sight so very convenient. The neighborhood was beautiful and so close to Sight and Sound Theater and wonderful restaurants. The house was immaculate and with so many blankets and towels and comfortable beds. Highly recommend this house.

A Great Christmas vacation
The Paradise cottage was the perfect place for our Christmas vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful Christmas decorations. Ken was a great host, very gracious, open and kind. The location was great, in the heart of Amish country, so quiet. The cottage was warm and cozy with lots of room for everyone to enjoy.

Great property for family trip
Stayed with my husband’s family to celebrate my in law’s 50th wedding anniversary. Children on our trip ranged in ages from 2-16. The property had plenty of space to accommodate everyone and our kids were all entertained by the downstairs game room. I personally appreciated that all the stairs were fitted with built in gates as my 2 year old is very curious and rambunctious! The property is conveniently located near Shady Maple, the Strasburg Railroad, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, and Casey Jones Restaurant. All great, family friendly attractions! Residence was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Hidden Gem
We booked this log cabin for a wedding for a family of 10 people. We requested a noon check in and Mr. Kenneth was super accommodating. The cabin was very clean there were extra linens for indoors and outdoor seating on and for the bonfire. He thought of everything needed for a large group. There were toiletries shampoo conditioner already in the bathrooms and there were enough towels washcloths. There were enough dishes, cups, wine glasses and the kitchen area was super size and enough for our group. All the pics were exactly as advertised and the cabin when you walked in was cozy and warm. He even had a system where you can play cassette tapes, cd or radio. It was just so beautiful inside. Pretty much everything well prepared for us and also wood to have a fire. There is absolutely nothing that I would say that needed change. If you are coming to truly relax and explore Lancaster Amish Village this is a place you should stay. The only downfall was there is no wifi so if you are planning to do a work retreat that is not the place but it is amazing to sit outside on the porch and read a book, catch up on some rest, write in your journal do a fire take a hike. This is truly nestled in the woods and you get to appreciate the outdoor life. Thank you Mr. Kenneth we were happy with everything.

Beautiful house
Stayed here to visit the Strasburg R.R. The house was beautiful clean and very family friendly. Beautiful neighborhood. Not too far from stores and food but just far enough to enjoy the country.

A beautiful place
We recently stayed at Spring Acre log cabin. The pictures on the website didn’t do the place justice. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. My husband and I stayed with our adult children and their spouses and we had a wonderful time. Our host, Ken, was extremely accommodating and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place and hope to visit here again ourselves.

Peaceful cabin
We loved our week at Spring acres. Seven family members came together from different locations. Ken was amazing to work with and quick to respond. We saw lots of horses & buggies and enjoyed a slower pace in this charming cabin. We did most of our cooking on site and bringing a few things assisted with that. Nice large refrigerator and second small one downstairs were perfect. Excellent stove top. We would come to this location again.

Excellent Stay!
The nine of us stayed at Ken's place & it was perfect! Lots of room & kids had their own space with numerous things available to keep them entertained. Ken was an absolutely wonderful host, very accommodating & full of great stories! Beautiful area, everything was exceptionally clean. Highly recommend.

Exceptional family weekend
Family members from 3 states met in Lancaster PA to take 5 yr old and 1 yr old cousins to Dutch Wonderland. Due to extreme heat, kids had more fun playing at the house and fenced in, shaded yard and enjoying the cabin’s many amenities. No one missed WIFI. We were too busy talking and enjoying the kids hanging out. I’ve stayed in VRBO homes around the country, and this host surpassed them all! Accommodations also were outstanding. No comfort or convenience was overlooked! Best place I’ve ever stayed, especially if you have children with you and just long for some family time in an ideal, homey setting. Perfect! Homey! Beautiful! Comfortable! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Rustic and nice!
We really enjoyed staying at this property! The basement rec room was really fun and a wonderful place for the kids to play. The porch was really nice and the inside was beautiful and rustic! My only two complaints: to be very clear, one of the queen sized beds is in the loft hallway which is open to the entire living area and the kitchen is not equipped as well as other places we've stayed. Nothing bad enough to deduct a star. Otherwise the host who lives on the property is super responsive and it was a great experience!

Awesome home
The word “cabin” does not do this listing justice. This is a large and beautiful home. We are female family members who get together yearly in June. This home met our needs and then some. There were seven of us. We enjoyed the front and back porches a great deal during our visit. Ken met us when we arrived, and gave us a tour of the home. Ken is so personable and offered any assistance we might need during our stay. Home was well supplied with towels, linens, blankets, toilet tissue, paper towels, tissues, trash bags, and coffee. Highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a stay in Lancaster area.

Best Kept Secret
We had the BEST time at Spring Acre Log Cabin. It was everything it was advertised to be and more. The owner, Ken, was amazing; friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The property itself is beautiful; a quiet country setting but only minutes from Strasburg and it's attractions. The house was great too; lots of room for our family to spread out and enjoy each others company. The weather was extremely hot but that didn't bother us at all. The air conditioning in the cabin was more than sufficient !! And to top that off, Ken graciously allowed us to fill a kiddie pool and run a sprinkler for the kids to cool off in. We would recommend this house to anyone. We absolutely LOVED it !! Thanks, Ken, for helping to make our first family vacation with all our kids and grandkids such a memorable one. We hope to make it back again sometime in the Fall !!!

Perfect for a family trip

What a great place!
Beautiful place in the country! Nestled right among the Amish, but still very private. The cabin was super clean!! Plenty of towels and washcloths. All the bedding and accommodations were perfect. Nice array of dishes, etc. The children loved the basement! Met the owner who was very friendly and helpful! Less than 10 minutes from Sight & Sound which was very nice! Thanks for a great stay!

This is a gem.
The property was everything and more. The listing and pictures do not compare when you're actually on the premises. I had such a wonderful time. It was very comfortable, not overdone and we made ourselves at home. Communication was a breeze--before and after our visit. Now I understand why the previous reviews were all excellent. Can't wait to visit again.

This place is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition. Very clean as well. There were 2 couples and we really enjoyed it. If you bring kids it is perfectly laid out and Ken has baby gates everywhere. Ken is an extremely nice guy and will do anything to make your stay perfect. Can't say enough about Ken or his home. Will be back

Exactly as described-perfect for a family get-together!
We loved it! Everything was spotless. Ample space for all of us to eat at the table (plus stools at the kitchen counter), very child-friendly. Enjoyed sitting on porch,kids could play on lawn, Mennonite family next door. Inviting interior with wood beds/dressers and comfortable seating, wall decor. Convenient location near Strasburg, easy parking. If you come Fri nite I recommend picking up food on the way in so you dont have to go out again.
