"We arrived just before sunset.Ron's directions were spot on. Keep your eyes open for the red gravel driveway. The place was spotless and very spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances. Farm sink, mini frig and 2 burner hot plate. The bathroom was beautifully done with a chiseled stone sink with rain shower and beautiful tile and river rock. Definitely rock. base. Plenty of water"

"As we were driving a series of long winding roads to this property we said to ourselves, “this place is going to have to be really nice to be worth the drive.” And it was. The nature sounds were amazing. Eating every meal on the lanai was lovely. The kids fought over who got to sleep on the lanai. It’s close to a beautiful black sands clothing-optional beach, and otherwise there’s not much to do out there. It’s not the best jumping off point for lots of island touring, but it’s the perfect spot...

"We had a comfortable, quiet, peaceful stay in Lelani Estates. Everything was clean and relaxing from the long driveway buffering a quiet neighborhood road to the upstairs suite with lanai overlooking a back jungle. Krisy cares for her home and the surrounding healthy yard fringed with jungle sounds and sights. She was available to ask questions and talk story. "The owners or care takers (I don't know who exactly they were) were kind and tried to help us when we asked. The decorations are a nice touch and seemed clean. It is located where it rains a lot, so expect a lot of humidity. The windows were open when we walked in (the windows do have screens), I'm guessing the windows were kept open to keep the place cool and comfortable. There is a fan in the bedroom and living room, but the fan in the living room will only stay on if the light stays on,...

"Each bedroom and bathroom being situated across the living room (one on far left, one on far right) from each other was really nice after traveling with our 2 daughters for a week. It gave us some privacy from each other and a treat to each have our own bathroom. We loved the lanai and 2 separate sets of furniture on it to enjoy the view. We ordered breakfast from the host to be delivered which was a special treat and tasted amazing."

"The house is beautiful, and the location felt perfect for us. We enjoyed relaxing on the second floor balcony (even doing a little astrophotography!), going to the nearby beaches, and taking day trips out to Hilo and the Volcanoes National Park! I couldn't have asked for a better home base. They also had a good stock of cookware, so we were able to cook most of our meals which saved us both money and travel time for food. This place was really a treat!"
