Nestled on a half acre of forested land near Mt. Rainier and Mount St. Helens, 'Grizzly Tower' is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom Packwood vacation rental cabin ideal for outdoor enthusiasts! This 2,200-square-foot cabin is the perfect home base after a day of outdoor adventures. You'll feel as though you're in a tree house, with huge views of the woods from the interior and exterior spaces. With hiking, skiing, and more nearby, the area's greatest treasures are at your fingertips.

Beautiful Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. We only had a couple of issues. The other cabins around had outdoor string lights that made it easier to hang out outside on their decks, and we had one tiny strand of very dim Christmas lights at the front porch. There were a couple of other minor details but overall loved the cabin. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay in the mountains
We enjoyed a wonderful extended weekend with our family here in late January. The split level worked perfectly for us as families had private space upstairs and down. When we arrived it was clean and nicely prepared for us with lights on and the gas fireplace was keeping the space toasty. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of place settings, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils. There was a gas grill that we used one night for cooking dinner. The large floor to ceiling windows provided a great view of the adjacent mountains. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We are planning on returning at some point in the summer.

One Enchanted Week(end)!
This cabin is lovely, beautifully appointed and was exactly the family respite we needed! Mary is an angel-on-earth to deal with and took great care of us! In the infamous words of Ahh-nold, “We’ll be baaaack!” Thank you for amazing getaway at our favorite area!!!

Wonderful house in the woods!
We loved staying at Grizzly Tower - the house was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed as well as two amazing decks looking out at the trees and the mountains. Packwood was a small but cute town with a brew-pub and excellent coffee shop/bakery. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay
The Grizzly Tower was very nice, and exactly what we were expecting. Everything was clean and all set for our arrival. Most everything that we needed was provided, which made it super easy to pack for our ski trip to Whitepass. The location was really great, and the neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. Overall, as very nice experience. We highly recommend. Thank you very much!!

Great House for Visiting Mt Rainer
Fantastic Stay !!!!! This cabin was the perfect location for our visit to Mt Rainer. It had everything we needed and more than we expected. I cannot think of anything we did not have during our stay. It worked great for three couples. The directions and communication was clear and informative. The owner reached out to make certain we had everything we needed.

Great Experience
This was a fantastic stay. This place had more amenities than were advertised. I usually bring extra stuff like dish soap, garbage bags, etc because most vacation rentals aren't well stocked. Well, I had no need to bring any of the extra stuff for this trip. Very well stocked, very clean, and if I return to Mt. Rainier, I will be staying at an Evolve property for sure.

This cabin was awesome and perfectly located if you want to hike around Mt. Rainier in several different areas. Nearby Packwood, only 3 miles south, had a nice grocery store, liquor store.and gas station.

A great house at the back entrance to Mt Rainier
Great base if visiting Mount Rainier, so nice to be close to the "not so busy entrance". When we were there the other entrance had a 3 mile backup to get into the park. The house was very functional. We had stayed in Packwood once before and this was the better house. Great deck (actually two) for hanging out as the sun went down. Would definitely return.

Great house that accommodates the group well. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils for cooking and there was even a sharp knife (rare at a VRBO)! Sheets are super soft! There could have been some more kitchen towels (was only one) and there wasn't a fitted sheet for the futon but other than those minor things it was excellent.

Not horrible but wouldn’t stay again
We showed up and house hadn’t been cleaned but the wonderful maid showed up pronto to clean. However, She did not wear a mask. Also thank goodness she was there because a few things weren’t working: remote for heater, door to deck etc. Tv/sound system WAY TOO COMPLICATED. Removal of the surround sound would help. Most remotes out of batteries. Bunk bed unstable. Livingroom is very small and couch is unsleepable just fyi. Had to call to get access info. It was never emailed to me prior to showing up. They did answer promptly once we arrives- about the cleaning and TV’s. Meh.

Great winter vacation home for ski and snowboard trips
This is my second stay here for a trip to White Pass and its been good both times. The views are amazing and the sound of the waterfall from the creek is relaxing. This place easily has one of the best sound systems and TV setups that I have found. Everything works and is modern for ease of use which is great for music lovers. Internet is strong enough to stream just fine with a good media laptop. There is a lack of puzzles though, I know some people enjoy having those. Plenty of books and DVDs. The kitchen is great, it needs a bit of organizing so cooking supplies are easier to find, and the spice cabinet needs to be cleaned up with expired stuff removed. There was no foil or wrap, we left some for the next guest. The fridge filter was needing replacement. These are just some suggestions to put it over the top, basic home maintenance checks seems to be an issue at all VRBOs these days. Looking forward to coming back again next year, been a great experience.
