"We were in town for a family wedding and stayed at this lovely home. It’s unique style and cozy feel made us feel very welcome. The house was very clean and spacious enough for eight of us. When the unfortunate circumstance of a car accident Took out a utility pole and cut our electricity, we communicated immediately with the host. She responded within minutes, contacted the electric company to find out information and got back to me very quickly. She kept in touch with me throughout the outage...

"This rental is exceptional. The home is nice, super clean, beds very comfortable. It was also well stocked. A short, easy slope down to the dock. The hot tub was awesome. I have been renting on Lake Gaston for 25 years. This is my first time here and it is the best place I have rented. Thanks to the host for all. I highly recommend it"

"We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. We traveled to NC to celebrate our son's 5th birthday at the museum of life and science and the property was only 11 minutes away from the venue which was perfect. Check in was easy and it was spacious enough to accommodate our family. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck sharing laughs with our family. Thank you so much Richard for making our trip amazing."

"The toilet was not cleaned...I do believe truly an oversight but that was a bit yucky to have to do. I'd have liked to see some tupperware bowls, aluminum foil and or baggies for leftovers. Location was great!! Overall though I would recommend this to friends."

The property is accurately described and is unique not only in it's appearance, but also in that there are not a lot of properties that can comfortably accommodate a large group. For ourselves, we had decided that having our immediate family together for our youngest daughter's wedding (she lives in Durham, but we were all traveling from outside the area) would be preferred. Second room was great! And we had stayed here on our way to our destination so we knew it was a good place to stay on the way back. Would happily recommend it.
