Ouray Penthouse Suite New & Quiet Best 360 Views! Pristine Clean Private Garage

This gorgeous penthouse suite 1000 sq ft + is located on the top third floor of the Ouray Alchemist building in the heart of town. Bi-directional pleated shades offer the excellent combination of breathtaking 360 degree surrounding mountain views with just the right amount of privacy desired. It is the perfect romantic haven for enjoying the numerous activities in the adventurous Ouray area.

There is a 400 sq ft deck that gives you private views of the Chief Ouray Mine, Cascade Falls, the Amphitheater and Twin Peaks. In addition there is a small breakfast balcony facing Main Street with a giant Douglas fir just to the south providing shade and privacy to those who want to see what is going on around town.

The Ouray Alchemist is a long-time project for Curtis and Nancy. Curt has been collecting pharmacy artifacts for many years. The commercial space features a historical collection of pharmacy memorabilia dating back to 350 BC. The collection is a tribute to the history of pharmacy, containing many hand-blown label-under-glass bottles with the original drugs (herbs and roots) with an emphasis toward Colorado pharmacy history (such as the oldest written prescription in Colorado). It is a memorable tribute to pharmacy worth seeing during your stay. Pharmacists Curt and Nancy will do the best to make your visit well worth it. The Ouray Alchemist, what we call our retail area and museum, has been featured on the cover of Bottles and Extras. We also have an article written about us in GV Magazine. This stands for Grand Valley and is mainly distributed around the Grand Junction area. Grand Junction is just a two hour drive from Ouray.

The Ouray Alchemist building is unique to the Ouray area. It was newly built/completed in 2011. Enjoy the whimsical finial portraying the sun, moon and stars. The gargoyles positioned on the four corners of the copper-domed tower by tradition offer "protection and happiness" to those who enjoy this incredible suite. Maximum of two adults. No children. Not available to rent to throw parties/ have events.

In the heart of main street

Absolutely fabulous!
Our stay at the penthouse was amazing. Nancy gives a detailed tour with tons of helpful information. They give attention to every detail and have every amenity at your fingertips. The views are gorgeous whether at the front of the condo or at the back on the deck. We loved our stay and look forward to staying again in the future.

We booked this penthouse because of the views and we sure weren’t disappointed! Beautiful views from every window! Loved being able to park in the garage. The home is stocked with everything you might need. Appreciated having a washer and dryer to use. Our only complaint was the lack of outdoor furniture. There were a couple outdoor dining chairs, but that’s it. The back deck is huge and could benefit from some rocking chairs or even a hammock to just relax on and take in all the beauty that is on all sides of this property. We did buy some steaks at the local meat market and used the grill on the back deck, which was a nice amenity. Overall, the penthouse was amazing and we would definitely recommend it!

We loved staying at the Ouray Penthouse! The place was so comfortable and the views were spectacular! It is in a great location to drive to Telluride and Durango. Nancy and her Husband were great hosts and we had everything we needed plus lots of extra treats.

Excellent experience for “first-timers” to Ouray, CO
The owners, Nancy and Curt, obviously go above and beyond to ensure their place has everything a couple would need during a stay. The downtown location is convenient for everything Ouray has to offer. We completed the Ouray Perimeter Trail, which is accessible from several different locations—all walking distance from the penthouse. The secure garage on the property is an added bonus. We are active “seniors,” 70 and 71.

Loved it! Curt and Nancy have a beautiful place for a relaxing vacation. And the view! Quaint Ouray downtown and the San Juan Mountains. Check out the Alchemist Museum downstairs. Wonderful!

Unique Property, downtown central, beautiful views
Unique Property, central downtown, beautiful views. Located on Quray's main street on top floor of a three-story building. You can see the towns activity from the front of the property which slows down between 7 & 8 pm. Ice cream shop located across the street, yum. The bedroom is located in the back which is quiet with a stunning view of the mountains. Morning sunrise too. Front and back patio, with secured parking. Everything you need and a great host. Nice space.

Wonderful retreat
We only had 2 nights in Ouray, and with this location had easy access to the Hot Springs, shopping and trails! Nancy was very friendly and had eveything setup so nicely in the apartment, with little extras available if needed! Both nights we enjoyed dinner on the deck. The 2nd night we were even treated to entertainment from humming birds and a buck in a nearby yard. Loved the apartment!! Added a nice highlight to our Ouray experience!!

This condo is everything advertised and more! Great location, very clean, beautiful views and lots of amenities. It also has 3 things most places don't offer: a garage, a washer & dryer, and 2-ply toilet paper! We will definitely stay again.

This penthouse is immaculate. The Tiffany are breathtaking. Gorgeous views of Main Street and the mountains from the balcony and breathe amphitheater from the back deck. The penthouse was fully stocked and incredibly comfortable. Great notes from owner made it easy to treat the property properly. We thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our time.

Second time staying here, just as memorable
Having stayed here before the prior year, we decided to stay here again because of the perfect location relative to the outdoor activities and scenic driving. Our only regret (out of our control) is that we had to leave early to fly back to Florida to prepare for Hurricane Ian (Sept 2022) that changed path directly toward our home while we were travelling. I would definitely book and stay here a 3rd time!
