"This georgian house is impressive but in great need of some TLC. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"This house is set up perfectly for adults traveling with their school aged kids. Separate lounges with multiple doors in between allow for privacy and quiet. The only slight discomfort is the heat pump/sump pump that runs often but at uneven intervals. You soon learn to tune it out, but it can be distracting at first. Beautiful and comfortable home."

"Fabulous views and location on the water, very near the centre of town. Four good comfortable double beds, 3 bathrooms with showers and toilets, plenty of towels, blankets, pillows etc. Kitchen well provisioned with some nice extras provided: milk, cereal, waters, cokes, biscuits, coffee beans with grinder and coffee filters/machine etc. All nice and clean. "We spent a few nights as a family in Eileen's cosy holiday home. Eileen was very easy to reach and welcomed us warmly. The cottage is richly equipped with everything you need. The location is great for various excursions in Connemara and County Galway. We would book the holiday home again at any time if we are in the area."

"This place was awesome! Loved the dark and moody vibes. Everyone having their own bathroom was quite lovely. The walkability to the main streets was perfect. Space to park cars was very helpful. The place was awesome for 6 people (definitely could have fit more!) and the host was very quick to respond. Highly recommend!"

"The big pros of this place are location and size! A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...

"This property is brand new and in mint condition. It’s walkable to Galway City center, but it’s a long walk. I recommend the bus which is clean, inexpensive and runs frequently. This place was a great option for families with teens."
