Spacious home close to Margaritaville
The home was great! Large bedrooms and plenty of space. having the master and second room on different floors was ideal for our stay. The front door lock was a little confusing at first and the instructions in the day of email did not include the 'trick'. It was easy after contacting the host and getting the right instructions though.

Clean and tidy house that was very comfortable
The stay was short but very accommodating. The house was very clean and comfortable. This house could easily accommodate a week or longer stay. Internet access was good and the house is equipped with smart tvs. I would recommend this house to a small family or a couples retreat.

Foul Smell from Hot Water
When we stayed, the smell of the water when running on hot was so unbearable that my wife and daughter started dry heaving. We weren’t able to stay even the first night of our stay because it was so overwhelming.

Just suggestions....
Our staff was nice, the property and communication with the caretaker was great. A few suggestions that might make the next person's stay better. 1) there is an iron on property but no iron. 2) A blind on the sliding door similar to that which is upstairs. 3) The shower valve in the upstairs bathroom was a bit confusing- I couldn't change water temperature easily- to be fair it could have absolutely been user error.

Great location, older home
The home is located in a great location, with easy access to Margaritaville. The check in process is super easy and the amenities are what a family needs. Perhaps we were the first renters of the “season” but the property needed update and cleaning. The deck needed to be wiped down and parts of home were not tidy. Do not let this deter you, the beds were comfortable and house kept cool. These are minor touches and we would likely stay again. Very quiet neighborhood.

Not the best experience
I typically have left great reviews on the VRBOs I have rented, this is the first time I was not happy and no resolution was offered. This property is run through EVOLV which may be part of the issue. It is a business. Many things were broken at the property, 1. remotes were missing backs or batteries had run out 2. electric heaters were either full blast or nothing so we were either cold or hot, 3. Unit was dirty and had pests, 4. coffee was a Keurig and had moldy water in the reservoir, so we couldn't use it, 4. Dryer was tiny, and couldn't dry the loads from the larger washing machine. 5. screen door on upstairs door was off and leaning on the side wall 6. unit was dirty, 7. pots and pans were few and the ones I used (which was not many since we weren't comfortable) were dirty 8. Dishes were put away dirty and were just thrown inside cabinets. I reported this list as I encountered them. I didn't report this one, because I only realized it as I pulled the sheets off the bedding as asked in the instructions. However, the bed my daughter slept in had some kind of hair all over it- apparently dog. It was from a white animal, most likely. It is clear the cleaning service isn't thorough. What bothered me the most was communication with Kristen. I reported the issues promptly but was always just thanked for the feedback and told how the next guest would have a better experience. There was nothing to address my current experience, which was sad. If more had been done to help us have a good experience during the week, I would not have sent a poor review. Seriously, send a cleaning service if you find the cleaning is so poor. Address the ladybugs we kept having to vacuum or clean up when reported. Those two things would have gone a long way.

Quiet Cabin in the Woods
Property is just how it seems in the photos. Very cozy, plenty of space for a small group. It’s well furnished and in good condition. Great value for the area. Only area of improvement might be the bedding—just one thin quilt was on each bed. Not ideal for the winter months but we found some extra blankets that helped.

Weekend getaway
Kristen was quick to respond when we thought we ran out of propane. She had a replacement tank there within hours. She was also very helpful with directions. We loved the Estates pool. It was so tranquil with a beautiful view of the lake. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

There was a live bat in the bedroom
Went to bed around midnight, when we got ready for bed something started flying around our room, it was a bat. We called the owners and their solution was to take a towel and try to get it out the door. The ceilings were vaulted so not sure how a towel would help. We finally with a broom and mop got in out the door. Not a great way to start off our weekend.
