The house and property are great and the pictures are accurate. The house is kept in very good condition and the beds are super comfortable. The house and area is quiet and I was able to look out at the lake and the stars from my room. The owner was very friendly and shared a lot about the orchard work and the art of growing a variety of fruit. The house and deck are very spacious and the deck is great to relax on and enjoy the beautiful lake scenes and the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the surrounding area as well and found many fun hikes and drives. Everything worked and the house is well provisioned. We enjoyed many of the games that were provided. This is wonderful rental and I highly recommend it and the owners are just super, however, the property management company was very negative. The contract that I was required to sign after I had already signed with VRBO and was committed to staying was very regressive, one-sided and had a lot of untrue or excessively negative language. In many places it directly conflicted with the VRBO description (which was accurate). Additionally new restrictions were added, such as only 2 cars were allowed when the VRBO said up to 5. There was plenty of room for 5 cars, although we only needed 2, I wondered why the contract and the follow-on email of new additional restrictions (post VRBO and post contract signing!) were all so different. The treatment in the contract was very negative and everything started from the viewpoint that renters were never to be trusted in any way. I know that a large part of this is how our lawyers have influenced things, but to say that we will be fined $500 if a items are not put back into the original spot (per item) is really negative. Additionally, I had to agree to have any case heard in King County when the house was in Okanogan County and we live in Okanogan County, the owners live in Okanogan County, and the property management office is in Okanogan County. Why would I want an expensive Seattle attorney handling a local matter? I have many more examples of negative and conflicting language in the contract and conflicting follow-on document, but I want to end on a positive note - The house is great, the property is great, the notes left by the owners and the family were very friendly, and in spite of the property management "contract" I would still recommend this property for your family vacation!
