"The Hotel Villa Cayo is set in a beautiful pristine rainforest on a private hill. The views are spectacular as was the staff, especially Virginia and Luis. It’s a romantic get away and yet about 10 minutes drive from downtown San Ignacio. We highly recommend Hotel Villa Cayo!"

"The property is amazing. Only received low score based on accuracy of listing. My cabin was not one that was pictured, however I did still enjoy the cabin and it was cool and comfortable. The pool was…. Not as clear as the pictures. The food from Jack at the bar was 10/10 phenomenal. I recommend the buffet and full English breakfast. The road coming up the hill is a little rough, but manageable. I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and comfy. Very relaxing."

"Since the time of the reservation, our host was very helpful, attentive, and thoughtful through the email communication. Even after the cancellation of the reservation due to the tropical storm Sara, she was very sweet, helpful and understanding!! I would definitely recommend her and her property."

"The listing does not show the cabana in question. As we were the only guests at the time, we were given the option of 2 different cabanas neither of which matched the pics in the in listing. The cabana we ended up with had 2 very tiny bedrooms with no place to put our luggage. The washroom needed upgrades as the shower head was hanging on for it's life. "Beautiful property and really awesome villa! There were so many tropical plants and flowers around the property and villa. It felt very peaceful and private. It was a very unique experience being in the villa because it’s all open floor plan with only screens separating you from the forest. "This property exceeded all of our expectations! The location is absolutely beautiful. And the host was fantastic. Hadas set up our excursions for us and was always available to answer questions or get us a taxi into town. I highly recommend this property."

"This place truly had it all Beautiful home and property- spacious and lovely environment to hang out inside or outside Wonderful staff- Elias and Betty were so kind and attentive, gave great recommendations, anticipated our needs and went above and beyond DELICIOUS food- seriously some of the best meals we’ve eaten, for every single meal. "This house in Santa Elena is so cool! Our family of 5 stayed here for three nights. The house itself is well maintained, very spacious and clean. The views around the property are gorgeous and the surroundings are lush and so peaceful. We had Consuelo cook for us one nights and it was the best as she prepared food and cleaned up everything after. We got to relax after a long day. And Consuelo is so sweet and helpful. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend! "

"The picture of the house was from the back. If a photo had been included of the front we wouldn’t have stayed. Nice inside but didn’t feel safe."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Mahogany Hall. They were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. They made sure that we were able to eat before our tours in the morning and even prepared our dinner a little early on the day of our arrival because we had not eaten. Cant say enough, it was so wonderful."

"All of the staff and Chef Joe were fantastic. All of the food was fantastic and a great variety. Plenty of hot water. Excellent family resort could not ask for a better place to stay. All of the staff were fantastic and went over and above to make sure our stay was fantastic. Whether a couple or family this was an excellent choice for the perfect vacation or getaway. We would definitely recommend this as a place to go for all of our family and friends. Can't wait to go back. "

"Hotel com boa localização. Quarto limpo e confortável. Café da manhã básico. Tive problemas com falta de água quente durante toda a estadia. Na verdade até água fria havia pouca. Tive de tomar banho em um banheiro de uso comum, bastante sujo. Embora tenha solicitado o reparo no primeiro dia, não fui atendido. "

Great place, exactly as the photos. Minor issues.

"The place is very good, big, clean, great structure, everything you need. On the third floor, can be complicated for those with many bags. Just missed a little bit of privacy in some occasions. Also, in another time, they were entering the apartment without letting me know first. There's still construction working on the building and sometimes people walk in the apartment balcony. I was alone, so it wasn't a big issue for me, but it would have being completely inappropriate if I had my wife and daughter with me. "
