Directly overhead on the second story balcony, there are several seating options, a shaded area, and a gas grill for summertime barbecuing! In the evenings, enjoy a friendly game of air hockey, or warm up by the gas fireplace while you stream your favorite movies and shows on the Roku.

The home is located conveniently close to all Deep Creek Lake attractions, so you don't need to travel far to enjoy time on the water! Or head north just four miles to visit downtown McHenry where you'll find popular local restaurants, marinas, and shops.

Decent place - NO air hockey table as pictured though !
We stayed here over the weekend with a bunch of friends/couples, one of which had a toddler. It was really cute but probably better for a family Vs. Adult couples due to small rooms and how noisy basement was. Pros : Hot tub is covered by porch so no worries if it rained, plenty of towels, grill, fire pit, room upstairs had a crib included in it, superrr close to wisp and liqor store and dollar store etc, good hot water in showers, amazing deck and patio set up, good heat throughout house.. Cons : NO air hockey table even though that’s what’s pictured and partly why we booked this place!! - just a foosball table instead. The basement is NOT SOUND protected at all. I could literally hear the people upstairs turn off a dang light switch let alone if someone is walking around or a child is playing. No dishwasher ( even though the welcoming kit includes dishwasher pods ?), no cleaning supplies what so ever included, oven was half falling apart when we arrived and we had to fix it ourselves, the heating works great however in the one bedroom Downstairs the heater is really close to the wall by the bed and gets HOT. The code didn’t work when we first got there but they called us back and had it fixed quickly.

Septic Smell all week
We are still waiting on our refund! The home had a septic smell and sewer gas was coming from the downstairs bathroom. The hot tub was dirty, no water we had to request someone come out and no one ever came to deal with the septic.

Great Week!
We had a great time here. We initially had trouble with the code but it was fixed within 5 minutes. We also had a concern with the hot tub that was addressed the same day. Wish we could see the water from the house but it was a great location.

For the most part I really enjoyed my stay
This house was in a great location. Any store I needed was close by. The house itself had just about anything we needed. Lots of towels too. My issue was with the hot tub leaving me with rashes all over my body due to the PH levels being off. Maybe bring some test strips before going in it

Birthday weekend
Overall it was a great place to stay! We loved that we could bring all our dogs with us! The location was perfect only 5-10 minutes away from everything we wanted. The only thing I wish it had was A/C, a few cleaning supplies for spills and things like that, and the grass wasn’t cut(which was not the biggest deal). The check in process was a little complicated cause our code did not work so calling Vacasa was a little confusing but once we got someone on the phone it was reset quickly and we got inside! They offered plenty of towels for the guests which was really nice. Would absolutely stay again!

Nice place, but the basement...
This place is not ideal for two adult couples. Definitely better for a family with kids as the basement area is kind of musty, having to drain the dehumidifier every day, and not very inviting. The two beds downstairs were small and not very comfortable for adults. Especially if you are trying to sleep with another person in the same bed. That said, the rest of the house was very cute. Thought the location and view from the deck were majestic. The upstairs bedroom was nice and comfortable, although wish it was a king bed. Of course the hot tub is the highlight of the place with the fire pit adjacent... all in all, we had a very nice time, but not exactly the place we had hoped for while traveling with another adult couple.

Pros: -Secluded but close to everything -Clean -Plenty of linens and towels -Great space -The view -Hot tub Cons: -Basement is musty, outdated and kind of creepy -No blinds on the door in the basement that leads to the hot tub area -The lock was broken on one of the doors and they use a 2x4 to keep it secure

First time at deep creek area
We have never been or even heard of deep creek area before arriving. The cabin itself was as good as advertised, the thing that made the trip even better was the area. So much to see and do within 10 minutes from the cabin we already are planning on coming back on our way home.

Bear sighting, no AC
So we had an encounter with a black bear while sitting around the fire pit on the last night but luckily it didn’t come closer then the end of the driveway which was still too close. The house had no AC and it stayed hot no matter what we did. The house is nice but needs to be cleaned from head to toe and some upgrades. Overall though we had a good time and made great memories. Also when they say you need 4 wheel drive they mean it because the hills are crazy, even in the rain!

Not functioning fireplace and leaking sun room
Property was clean and chevk in was easy. Fireplace did not work, called maintenance first thing Sat AM, person came out at 3:30, looked at it and said he was not an HVAC person so couldn't do anything. Never got fixed. Last night the room in the sunroom started leaking due to excessive ice build up that had clearly been there a while, the drip noise kept us up most of the night.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed 8” of snow while there. We were a little concerned with the kids toilets to use for some of the adults. Otherwise a great place to stay.
