"Alyssia was excellent to deal with in booking Shrapnel's Retreat. The cottage was lovely. Clean and tidy. Had everything you needed in the kitchen. Shower nice and hot. Had a possum come to visit. Seen emus, kangaroos, blue wrens. The morning mist with birds chirping was heart warming. Plenty of blankets and quilts for those chilly nights. "We stayed at Scarlet Woods for three nights and wished we had stayed longer. The accommodation is warm, luxurious and comfortable. We were two couples and their was plenty of space for everyone. The property is well located to explore the area. Views are divine. Highly recommended."

"Beautiful old timber mill house with clean modern conveniences. Manicured gardens, secure parking tucked away in a back lane. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We organised facials/massages at the local salon, took the tram ride to the cascades and did the river cruise. Dinner at the pub. Friendly locals! It was a little awkward and off putting that the cleaners arrived at 9:55am (as we were packing the car) but they were friendly and patient. Thankyou for a cosy stay."

"Nice and Quiet Location."

"loved our stay. first time farm stay (other than one i've worked on haha). loved the safari style accommodation and luxury type touches. enjoyed the fact that its also a working truffle farm, so did not mind at all that there was a buzz of activity in the distance. really added to the atmosphere. Mick was also an excellent host meeting us at the gate and showing us to our accommodation and helping out with any needs we required. a Lovely man. will definitely visit again :)"

"Such a lovely, homely feel to the cabin with tranquil surroundings. Lovely wood fire for those cold evenings and a warm spa on the deck with an awesome view. I couldnt imagine staying anywhere else when headed down south, very good price also. Will absolutely be back."
