Perfect for single travelers, couples, small families or small groups of friends who love adventure, surfing and/or exploring the beaches of Guanacaste, Costa Rica! Keep in mind its a tiny home and is compact and can get crowded with 4 adults.
THE PROPERTY
Small property only a few steps away from the beach and ocean! We are not beach front but only one house away from the beach. Our new neighbors are a beachfront vacation home/yoga retreat.
Property is surrounded by palms, mango trees, plantain trees and a guanabana tree. If you are lucky and in season you can get mangos, guanabana or plantains at the property.
Drive on the beach to a small dirt rural road. After the beach access property is nestled in the jungle on a rural dirt road along with a few local homes and vacation homes as neighbors.
There is space to park 1 car in the driveway with gate. We recommend parking away from the palm trees to avoid coconuts falling on the car.
THE BEACH
Just steps from the Casita is one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and serene beaches. Its a long white beach with a few main areas
GUIONES SUR
If you go south from the cabin on the beach you will find yourself in an area of the beach that has not been developed. There are no houses and no buildings just nature and the beach. Perfect for morning and afternoon walks.
At low tide, enjoy natural tide pools within the rocks, or take a walk to the south end and enjoy the beach all to yourself.
Experience the most amazing sunsets you’ve ever seen and watch a sky full of stars at night.
GUIONES NORTE
The north side of the beach (about a 30 min walk its a big beach) is were you will find the beach town with healthy restaurants, hotels, shops and a large yoga and surf scene.
This is also were you will find the best surf breaks and surf schools/lessons.
Guest access
ACCESS IS AN EXCITING ADVENTURE!
Drive on the beach (only part of the beach where motor vehicles are allowed) on to a tight rural road by crossing a small creek and we are the second home from the beach with a wooden gate.
The cabin access is through the beach (driving on the beach), past a small creeks and up a dirt rural road, so we recommend a SUV or 4x4, specially during rainy months (mid August - November). During the summer the creeks completely dry out and access is very easy. Locals drive small cars all year long so its possible but they are used to it so we recommend taller cars.
Watch out for really high tides (king tides) as access through the beach gets narrower and harder with the high tide. Also be careful with rocks/wood logs on the beach as you drive.
Other things to note
This is not a hotel or luxury cabin.
Our tiny home is cute + comfy with AC, private bathroom, kitchenette and bunkbed. The experience is more like very comfortable glamping nestled in the jungle only steps from the beach.
There is no WIFI / internet.
It’s an opportunity to unplug and relax.
We are very close to the ocean, a few steps to the beach on a small private property.
